She genuinely wasn’t sure if Sadie was joking back, or if she hadn’t gotten that Deirdre was being sarcastic. “Alright, alright,” she laughed as the hyper blonde bolted up. “Slow down there. It’s not a race.” Her upper teeth ran across her bottom lip as she considered where such a sandwich would be, figuring Panera Bread might have it. “Panera it is.” Hearing that last bit, Deirdre gave the fellow woman a look, “If you really want cupcakes, we can stop by the bakery beside Panera. But I’m not letting you get more than two. As your friend, it’s my job to make sure you don’t clog your arteries. You’ve already got your pixie stick collection, which is utterly ridiculous.” After taking Deirdre’s car, they arrived at the place and luck would have it, there was a honey mustard sandwich available on the menu. Sliding into a nearby booth, Deirdre noted with a slight smirk, “The cashier was eyeing you.”
‘’What’s not a race?’’ Sadie replied after she had practically made sure to grab her coat first before the other did, stepping into her shoes right after. ‘’Panera? Oh wait yes--- that place!’’ Her head was still far up in the clouds, daydreaming about sugar instead of actual lunch, which wasn’t much of a surprise. ‘’Can we? Oh golly ye-e-esss! That’s the best news I’ve heard all day,’’ she threw her head back in a cheery manner before snickering when she came to realize that she was probably more than not bothering her friend. ‘’You love my pixie sticks, admit it, I’ve seen you steal a few from my stash sometimes, don’t even try to deny it.’’ The blonde sounded anything but upset over it, just wanted to hear her roommate confess what she had tried to do behind the blonde’s back. Leaving the apartment was a refreshment after having been stuck inside all morning. Following Deirdre to the booth, her curious fingers almost immediately found the menu before she had even had the chance to get rid of her coat. ‘’What?’’ Sadie asked confused, her eyebrows scrunching together for a split second before her blue eyes innocently wandered up from the menu to her friend, a smile soon following on her lips as she realized what she had said. ‘’That’s not--- true! You’re lying, no cashier looks at me. Or anyone for that matter.’’
