[in order to end lord english once and for all, john releases all of the reality-hopping ability he gained at all points in reality at once, and takes lord english into himself, but is unable to hold the cherub, and they both implode due to such a drastic difference in morality and goals. john ceases to exist at any point in time, but there’s always some heart-wrenching feeling when anyone involved with sburb feels a particularly mischievous gust of wind.]

If John has become detached from Sburb’s timeline, what if other parts of the game have rejected him too? What if the game no longer recognizes John as a player, and keeps him from going with his friends to the new universe? Worse yet, what if Sburb, having taken so much damage from Lord English’s rage, begins to fail with John inside of it?

HS is supposedly a story that is also a game. In games, the characters die all the time. How many times did you let Mario fall in the pit before he saved the princess? Who weeps for these Marios. In games your characters die, but you keep trying and trying and rebooting and resetting until finally they make it. When you play a game this process is all very impersonal. Once you finally win, when all is said and done those deaths didn’t “count”, only the linear path of the final victorious version of the character is considered “real”. Mario never actually died, did he? Except the omniscient player knows better. HS seems to combine all the meaningless deaths of a trial-and-error game journey with the way death is treated dramatically in other media, where unlike our oblivious Mario, the characters are aware and afraid of the many deaths they must experience before finally winning the game.

[ Kurloz and Meulin broke up many sweeps ago but Kurloz uses his Chucklevoodoo to make Meulin relive(redeath?) the moments they had long in while in love. He can't get over her. Meulin has no clue]

My main assignment for the ancestral anthology asked for any kind of interaction between the Alpha guardian rebels. Actually, initially I was going with a totally different concept with my fill, but I’m pretty happy about the turn it ended up taking!

Mother's Day

He learned how to write quicker than you expected, but you suppose it shouldn’t have been surprising, considering how much he enjoyed reading. He loved to write with big, bold letters because, according to him, he had big things to say. He was intelligent and positive, and he was your son.
