"I watched life and wanted to be a part of it but found it painfully difficult."

I don't like it when people are like “so tell me about yourself!”. What do you want like my trauma or my favorite color!?
Let’s be specific!!
little by little every day you are improving and growing and healing
// U G H ! // L O V EÂ
mental health pro tip: you don’t need to answer to everyone and you don’t have to have an answer for everything.
I think that when you're overstimulated you should appear kind of grayed out and no one should be able to interact with you like a locked character in a video game
“what’s your five year plan” bro i wake up every day confused by the fact that i’m even alive
jobs for people who cant do or handle anything
Listen to your body when it’s telling you something is wrong. When your stomach aches, muscles tense up, head aches. Whatever the cause these are all signs you need to slow down and practice self care. Don’t feel forced to push through, pause and sit with what you’re noticing in your body. Give it time and space to exist, and begin to address relaxing and healing.
This is for the people who didn’t party in their teens and twenties. For the people who didn’t have that “coming of age” movie experience with shenanigans and revelations. This is for the people who mostly keep to themselves. Who maybe prefer things to be quieter and gentler. This is for the people who don’t feel like they belong in a culture that values loud parties and flashing lights. I see you. And you are valid.
“Do it scared” “do it alone” are all great tips, but my biggest takeaway from therapy is do it messy. This is especially true if you’re getting out of a burnout, which I experience often. Literally just do it messy. You don’t need to pick the perfect trail to walk, the perfect playlist to listen to, whatever the fuck it is. You don’t need to have a meticulous to do list and wake up at the exact time you planned and drink the exact amount of water you planned to drink. Like the biggest thing for people like me to remember is sometimes it’s okay to do it messy. Put on a random yt workout and just get it done in sweats. Do 5 minutes of a daunting task and go from there. Sometimes just getting up is a win during intense burnouts or depressive funks. Literally just do it messy.

btw it's so fucking stupid you can be anxious physically in your body even after you've decided mentally you don't care. I'm supposed to be in charge here
