idk who needs to hear this but it’s healthier for you to just accept that you’re gonna be kinda fat than it is to live the rest of your life miserably trying to monitor yourself to maintain a skinny weight your body doesn’t want to hold onto
I see lots of positivity for people who had to drop out of higher education for one reason or another. But so little for friends who are unable to have a high school diploma, or GED! (Or whatever your area's equivalent may be)
So shoutout to those who were unable to complete the "basic" education, you are important and loved and your level of education should not dictate that!
Sometimes “locking in” looks like sitting in the sun and remembering that your life is also meant to be lived, not just optimized, monetized, and turned into proof that you’re worthy.
at the end of the day you need to believe that you are more than the things you’ve suffered through because if you don’t you’ll start seeing yourself as someone fundamentally broken whose life is hopeless. you need to claw your way out of a rut by believing there is hope for you and that life is worth living, even when its hard to make sense of all the suffocating chaos around us. don’t let yourself forget there is still beauty out there and joy to be felt, even when you are in pain, even when you wish life could be fairer and gentler. because that’s when you realize that the little things you do to make yourself and others feel a bit better can make quite a difference after all
I know you're scared. I'm sorry this is happening to you, but you've come through so much already, I know you can do this too. Here, take my hand, I'll go with you 🫴
Hey, man, c'mere. Listen. Get in real close, this is important.
You're gonna make stuff again. You're gonna make stuff you're proud of. You're gonna make stuff you're excited to share. You're going to feel that overwhelming drive to create, not just the frantic I want to want to you're stuck in now. You're going to have awesome ideas, and you're going to make them into reality. You're going to create again. You're still an artist. You're still a writer. You're still home to the same passion you had before. You'll find it again. It's not gone. It's just resting. Let it rest. You're going to make stuff again. I promise.
someone loves you
!
People are not only drawn to you because you are mysterious or refuse to let people get close. They are drawn to you because you are a wonderful person. You can open up.
I am proud of you for making it through the day.
the horrors persist but so do books, art, hot chocolate, winter nights, the moon, the sea, the stars, sunsets, literature, libraries, cats, flowers, stories, love and the wistful feeling you get when you finally return home
You are doing a good job. Yes, even now. You are doing enough. Take a moment and say to yourself “I am doing my best”. Even if there is room for improvement, that can come in the future. In a day or an hour or a minute from now. But, at this exact second, recognize that, no matter your mistakes, you are good enough.
You are not fundamentally wrong. Morally or intellectually or in any other way.
hello guys in light of disability pride month i would like to urge everyone to practice harm reduction in any area of life if it is possible for you. if you have an eating disorder please let yourself eat enough for your body to keep going, especially because it takes more energy for disabled people to function. if you abuse substances please make sure they don’t interact harmfully with any medications you take (for example: watching your alcohol intake when on SSRIs). if you self harm please clean your wounds so your body doesn’t have to overcompensate when trying to heal. if you mask heavily for social survival please try to give yourself rest and breaks so you don’t completely burn out. i know sometimes all of this is impossible, and that’s okay. but if you can, i urge you to be a little kinder to yourself this month. i love you.
Change is possible. Growth is not fast or linear but a better life is within reach.
You are doing your best. You do not need to produce in order to have value
