Hey all!
We can’t believe it’s been 12 weeks already. We’ve had 6 prompts and a TON of fantastic entries. Seriously, blown away by the creativity.
The summer slowdown has started to hit and we thought now would be a good time to temporarily hit pause. That’ll give people a chance to fill past prompts (if anyone is so inclined) and just generally take a breath.

Prompt Six: Environmental Controls (The Halfway Point!)
Hello all!
We hit the halfway point yesterday but I forgot to post about it.

Raffi assumes she’s going for grumpy and stern, but it’s really just coming out sleepy and gravelly, and it’s almost enough for her to pull the covers back over them and ignore it all.
(4 times the environmental controls on La Sirena go haywire and 1 time they’re just fine.)

Seven injures herself on a Ranger mission, leaving Raffi at a loss of how to care for her. Luckily, B'Elanna's had experience with this kind of illness before.
(Or, the one where Seven's nanoprobes malfunction and she starts seeing sparkles everywhere)

Stars, galaxies, they’re all moving. Some together, some apart- pushing and pulling as the universe expands. So we’re really moving with them, instead of through them.

“It all feels just shy of personal now, this connection she has to the ground and to the pole and to her body and to everyone else in this room."
Seven and Raffi try to adjust to Raffi's new job (and friends!) in Starfleet. Seven sees a side of Raffi she's never seen before and reconnects with her body in a way she hasn't before.
(Or, Seven learns to pole dance)

The door shuts moments after they get home and Seven finds herself lost in the way Raffi eyes light up at her smile, she’s not one for smiling without reason, never has been, but Raffi… Raffi is a reason to smile, she’s always been a reason to smile.
Now Seven crosses the floor, counts her steps. Three. Three steps. Raffi is close, getting closer and she knows Raffi gave her space deliberately, space she doesn’t want right now, right now she wants Raffi here and now.
She pauses just long enough to flip on Raffi favourite Star lights, smiling when Raffi looks up, eyes brighter still, soft amber turning to almost a tiger’s eye shade and Seven makes her move before Raffi can ask anything, her voice is soft, lips inches from Raffi’s.
“So… what was that about needing light?”

The colours here compliment each other; mint green bleeding into fuchsia which melts into cerulean. They work together in tandem to create light, shadow and an immense feeling of peace. Juxtaposed against the night sky, they create beacons in the dark, a safe haven for souls who distrust the daylight and find it far too much.

“Does Seven know you’re communicating like this?”
“Yes?”
“You don’t sound sure.”
“I mean, I told her at the beginning that my annotations are a record. A personal record of the person… the people I used to be.”
“Used to be—so she knows that these notes represent you at a fixed point in time. And that you’re not necessarily that person anymore?”
(5 times Seven said I love you by reading Raffi's books and 4 times Raffi understood her with a little bit of help)

“Can I ask you one more question?” Soji’s eyes flash, and Seven holds up a hand. “Two questions, including that one I just asked now.”
“Well, you kind of already did, so I guess that’s fine.”
“Do you think you’re original or something?”
Soji blinks. “What?”
“The whole being-angry-because-my-whole-life-is-a-lie thing."
