To celebrate the S2 finale for @sagasofthesunlessreach, I commissioned @wallabri for the Delta Crew in silly novelty sunglasses! @jadeoxfordrose and I were laughing at the flame sunglasses being perfect for Apricus, and then I found these absolute perfect glasses for Viidra, and I started mentally cooking.

I think we as a group did not realize the absolute level of cool that Cipru was bringing to the table. We did not exhaust his dialogue tree and learn his secrets. Still, we got his approval high enough that he showed up big time in this map defense level.

Things have taken a rapid turn for the worse and we’re cutting off our alliance with the Anglers, which leaves the five of us on much different footing than we thought going in. We’re not without allies, my last batch of reports still holds true well enough, and I’ve managed to secure a solid resource agreement that I believe we can send back your way as well. But we cannot trust the Anglers, and we cannot trust their leader.
The Anglers used our tactics, which could have been a ploy to get our attention, but made those moves as a distraction from their true goals. They played to our sympathies — he played to my sympathies — and used us as a blunt force weapon to get what they wanted.
Their leader’s personal vendetta against Dragomir Errol is one I’m still working out. While it serves both our ends to remove the Warden from power, I fear he’s doing it in order to simply replace one Errol with another.
Stanislaw’s real name is Curwen, and he claims the Errol title with pride.
I know I sent a lot of updates at once and it felt like things were really going our way, only to have to immediately follow it up with this, but I wanted to send a warning in case Curwen manages to get something past us now that we’ve weakened the Wolf Armada’s hold. Be wary of anything coming out of the Delta. Refuse anything from ‘Stanislaw’ or the Anglers if they should reach out pretending to be friends.
They should be contained to the Delta, but I’d rather err on the side of caution. I already made one mistake in underestimating him; I don’t want it to happen to anyone else.
With luck (and the indomitable perseverance of the human spirit, or whatever it is that Ksana believes in), we’ll have better news soon.

PS: We’re up against Professor Paxton’s old colleagues in Sofia Errol and some of her assistants from the University. Perhaps see if you can get dear ol’ Mort to whip up a good way to fight mortics, as I’ve been largely unsuccessful in finding anything convenient. I fear we might have to move on to Coronant after this, and Sofia doesn’t strike me as the type to leave her flank unprotected. She raised Curwen, after all, and he’s proven himself incredibly cunning and resourceful.
You either slip and fall on some glass while rolling a nat1, or you live long enough to see yourself get saved by the power of friendship by the (checks notes) uh, party that is killing all of your actual friends.
