Just for the record, because I want to add on. No. Everyone is NOT a victim of childhood sexual abuse. Everyone may have had adverse childhood experiences at some point in their childhood or another, but not everyone has been sexually assaulted as a child.
Even victims of child abuse like physical or emotional abuse are not victims of child sexual abuse. They may overlap, but they are NOT the same thing. A child who didn't have supportive parents growing up is not the same as a child who was molested by a trusted adult. Both are awful but they aren't the same thing.
Abuse always leaves lasting impacts, regardless of age, but sexual abuse leaves a specific kind of impact. Someone may have physical scars on/in their genitalia or anus, they may be so traumatized that going to doctors regarding these scars is triggering or downright impossible. Depending on the abuse and from what age, there may be issues with incontinence, fertility, and walking. In a female, sexual abuse by a male may result in early pregnancy, which can severely damage the body. If there were miscarriages, or something was done to induce a miscarriage without going to a doctor, there may be physical damage to the uterus.
Let's not pretend that just because "everyone" has some sort of family dysfunction means that everyone is a CSA survivor. Not only is it minimizing of the harm done, it's fucking insulting. Lots of parents/families fell short of perfect without being pedos. Lots of families gave it their all to protect their kids and still had a child become a victim because pedos do a really good job at infiltrating spaces that should be safe for kids.
