"Lady Leonora? Please, accept my small gift, it's a small token of gratitude." And she's using Vali's day as a valid excuse to offer small gifts. Izayoi didn't realize her small cake was somehow damaged while carrying it around the place and... well, hopefully she won't find about it.
"Oh my, thank you! It is very kind of you, Lady Izayoi..."
It really had took her a lot to muster up her courage, didn't it? She silently approached him, biting her bottom lip, and tugged at his sleeve to get his attention. Then she quickly kissed his cheek... But she was way too much embarrassed even to run away and hide.
After earlier that day, Palom had gone to the library and assumed that if he holed himself away for long enough, it would pass over. He wouldn’t have to offer any explanation or even remember it had happened.
But she was as quiet a mouse, and apparently… she had a gesture to make as well. Palom didn’t hear her approaching, he didn’t even know she was there until she tugged on his sleeve. He’d been scanned a shelf for a specific book, but turned at the silent tug.
She had intended to kiss his cheek, but with her coming forward and him turning towards her, it was their lips that brushed instead. Palom’s eyes jolted wide open in shock.
When she pulled away but didn’t move, Palom gulped audibly. Her hand was still holding his sleeve, and it almost looked like she was shaking, but he didn’t say a word either. He didn’t know what words would even be appropriate.
There were a long stretch of moments where they both just stood there and said nothing. They were both red in the face, but neither one was bold enough to speak.
Though, she seemed to be having a worse time of it.
"U… Uhm…. I… "
What? No, no, no! This wasn't what she had intended to do, not at all! Mayday, abort mission, I repeat, abort mission-- but oh, Gods above, she couldn't even move a single finger.
Her heart beated way too much fast, her hands were shaking, and her mouth was open in surprise, though she was speechless.
For the Gods love, that was her very first kiss-- and it was pretty different than what she had imagined it would be. Probably it was less romantic than she expected, but... A part of her, in truth, was somehow happy for this little mistake.
"I... I am... sorry..." she squeaked.
"P-Palom, he… k-kissed me. Hekissedme."
"…"
"I see. Congratulations on your first kiss, then. And… what happened after he kissed you?" 50 guils on the ‘she ran away’ horse!
"You m-misunderstood me, he just kissed m-my cheek!"
"... And he ran away."
"Did I hear well? Palom kissed you?"
"It--- It only was a ki-kiss on the cheek..."
"I... I can do it. I--- I know I can..."
"… Okay, but—- p-promise me you won’t tell anyone, Lady Izayoi. Please…"

"Please, ma’am, tell me who dared to make you uncomfortable. What happened?"
