Hello , My name is DEATH or Jeffrey - He / DEATH / Corpse . I am a ; disabled radqueer plural , proud transID and paraphile .

This blog is gonna be for giving out tips on transID transitioning .

How to ask for tips ;

First , check out the archive to see if I have already answered . Quite simple ; just put what you desire in the ask box . Now we do not promise full expectations , some info is hard to get .

The ONLY thing we will likely refuse to do is anything r*mcoa related , as we are cis and trying to make tips surrounding that sadly triggers us badly / fucks up our recovery progress :^(

i had a person in my class literally lie about me , accusing me of assaulting a pet of hers - I NEVER KNEW THIS GIRL , NEVER SPOKE TO HER OR EVER KNOWN THAT SHE HAD A DOG. When me and my friends confronted her , all she could say was "how are you in med school??" idk maybe cause im actually working my ass off while you're here on your parents money , you keep failing classes , you have to keep begging for extra work since you keep missing deadlines by going to parties. OH AND ALSO YOU SPEND YOUR TIME MAKING UP SHIT ABOUT ME. I'm here sweating my ASS OFF WITH DISABILITY THAT MY SCHOOL DOESNT RECOGNIZE , SO I GO OUT OF MY WAY TO GET TO SCHOOL. Trans Hijabi

Where to start ? Start with lightweight fabrics like chiffon , jersey , or cotton for breathability ! You can also use a simple scarf , like silk for availability !

Before wearing it outside, get used to the feeling by wearing it at home !

Try different wrapping styles to see what feels best ! ( Turban , loose drape , a turkish wrap , a sideknot , etc.)

Look in the mirror , take pictures — let yourself adjust and find what you love !

Practice wearing it while doing normal activities ( studying , watching TV , chores ! )

Once you feel comfortable , try to take it outside ! If you're nervous , start by wearing it in low-pressure environments ( a walk in the park , a quick trip to the store ) !

If you're worried about reactions , try gradual changes ( e.g., start with a headscarf over your shoulders, then slowly transition to full coverage) !

Match it with the rest of your outfit ! Plan cute outfits for an outing or do a little try on in your home !

Get undercaps (helps keep hijab in place and prevents slipping) , collect a few basic hijabs in colors that match your clothing !

Find hairstyles that feel comfy under your hijab ( braids , low buns ) !

Keep hijab - friendly accessories like magnetic pins ( no poking! ) or anti - slip headbands !

hello :3 hope med school is going well for you! could i get some nullphobia tips? specifically for lepidopterophobia (moths + butterflies), if that matters ^^"

ive had success with desensitizing myself to spiders, but since moths appear more suddenly and don't tend to sit still i'm at a loss with them 😔

Null Phobia

This was done with the help of a friend who also has lepidopterophobia ! @armyflags <3

First , realize why you have a phobia ! Ask yourself why you are fearful , this will help you understand your reasoning and what to focus on when desensitizing !

When you have found out your reasoning , in this case one of it being the fact that moths appear out of no-where and that can be quite frightening , focus your mind on how to get over that one specific fear ! So in your case , try to desensitize yourself to seeing sudden moths , you can do this by setting a timer and taking your time to watch videos of moths flying around while doing breathing exercizes !

Write down what seems to be logical things to do when encountering your fear ! So in your case , thinking hypothetically what would be the logical thing to do when a moth suddenly appears in your space ? One would might say " get up calmly , get a paper towel or fly swat , focus on the moth when it sits down , smack it and throw it away in the trash " - this way you're able to have a plan next time when you have an encounter !

Do not be harsh on yourself ! Being infront of your fear can be very stressful , and it is only normal for you to possibly freeze up , feel paralized or start to scream - those are all normal responses to a phobia ! Give yourself time to react how you normally do , and then remind yourself of the plan you written before , when you have calmed yourself and feel relaxed enough , try to execute the plan !

Remember that little progress is still progress !! You got this !!!

we are inuit and native american , one parent is Yupik ( specifically Siberian region ) and other parent is Ojibwe

We grew up in eastern europe for most of our childhood until we moved to Canada when we were like 13 years old

We still consider ourselves slavic as we grew up with the culture , specifically russian and czech , our Yupik parent also grew up with those culturies and definetly passed it down onto us

A person can definetly be multi-cultured , and we definetly consider ourselves that ^^

AND NO WE DONT LIVE IN THE US WE ARE CANADIAN RAHHHHH

THIS !!! These people think they’re doing “good” by gatekeeping , but really all it does is drag us backwards . It rubbed me the wrong way when their idea of “ valid proof of race ” was literally just pictures of my skin .

I'm mixed Inuit and Native American . I’ve been really lucky to be part of a community that embraced both lighter and darker-skinned members . But I’ve also noticed that the loudest voices questioning Indigenous identity are often the ones clinging to a very specific ( and stereotypical ) image of what a Native person is “ supposed ” to look like .

That mindset doesn’t just come from outside our communities either . There’s still a real issue within Indigenous circles when it comes to accepting mixed , white-passing , or overall lighter-complexion members . Colorism doesn’t disappear just because we’re marginalized .

You can’t “ look ” Native enough for people who’ve already decided what Native should look like . And no amount of ancestry , or lived experience will ever be enough for people who’ve made your existence a test. That’s not accountability , that’s lateral violence .
