Hello again! I want to take a quick moment to thank everyone who filled out the form, you all helped a lot with both narrowing down and providing ideas. Most of you also seemed interested in potential mini events, so keep an eye out for those in the future!
With that out of the way, I welcome you all to Saigoku Week 2025! This year will run from November 3rd to the 9th. Below will be the prompts in text form and the standard rules.
Day 1 - Home/Travel
Day 2 - Revaluations/Relief
Day 3 - Missing scene/What-if
Day 4 - Fruit/Dessert
Day 5 - Hair/Heart
Day 6 - Dreams/Nightmares
Day 7 - Free day!
Any form of creation is allowed, whether it's art, fanfic, cosplay, headcanons, collabs... Get creative! That said, all works must be original. Stealing/copying other people's works or using AI generation in any form is strictly prohibited.
Feel free to also get creative with the prompts however you feel works best. Think of them as more of an inspiration piece than a strict idea.
As you can guess, this week is centered around Shuichi and Gonta as a couple. You may include them in polyam ships or have other pairings in the background, but they should be the focus first and foremost.
Canon typical content (violence, blood, language) is allowed, though take caution in anything more extreme such as heavy gore. Topics like abuse (such as between couples), incest, minor x adult are prohibited. General smut will not be shared on the blog for the sake of general comfort. When in doubt, tag it!
Please use the hashtag #saigoku week 2025 and tag the account so I can see your work! If I somehow missed you, feel free to DM or send and ask and I'll get to you when I'm able.
You are welcome to start creating pieces early (though please wait until the respective day to publish it!) or submit late, no pressure whatsoever!
Be nice! Do not harass or bully participants for their works. If you're able, spread the love! Even just a little comment and/or reblog can make someone's day.
If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, reach out anytime! I cannot wait to see what you all come up with! <3
Whew, it’a been a while, huh? Apologies for the silence, life has been rather hectic these past few months (or year plus..), which made things difficult to find the time and energy to pick things back up again. Do not fret, however, saigoku week will not being going anywhere… In fact, I hope to run it this coming November! Most likely from the 3rd to the 9th.
Since it’s been a while, I figured it would be a good idea to run a little interest check to see what kind of things people would like, prompt and event wise, which you can find here! This will go until around the end of September or if I feel I gathered a substantial amount of responses, so don’t hesitate to fill it out and spread the word. Once that’s wrapped up, I hope to announce the full list around the beginning of October.
Thank you for your continuous support and for sticking around, you all make these events worth running and I cannot wait to see what you all come up with this year! 💚💙💚💙
