The Karmagisa Shrek AU continues on!
Fic Summary: Fairy tales were made to bring hope into the world with fairies, princesses, and true love’s kiss. But what about the more… monstrous side of the tales? Enter Karma, a demon on earth, whose only real crime is scaring the everloving crap out of the villagers… and maybe maiming a few. He isn’t sure how, but he’s gotten dragged into saving a princess from a tower to give creatures like him back their livelihood.

Fic Snippet:
Karma leisurely made his way through an abandoned strawberry field, picking a few fruit here and there. Kayano and Koro-sensei followed him, now fully committed to joining him on his quest, with apprehension clear on their faces.
“So, you’re actually going on this quest to fight a dragon and rescue a princess just so Lord Yuji will look over his bill on magical beings? I’m surprised you didn’t just threaten to fight him or burn him,” commented Kayano, wincing at the thought.
Karma rolled his eyes. “Work smarter, not harder. Sometimes diplomacy is the right course of action…sometimes.”
“What an insightful thought, Karma!” praised Koro-sensei, one of his tentacles rubbing his chin. “Perhaps after this you could become a voice or representative for the non-humans of the kingdom.”
“Yeah, I don’t think so,” replied Karma, shaking his head with a laugh. “People don’t really understand…demons, let alone trust them.”
“How come? You seem nice,” asked Kayano, before biting her lip in thought. “Though I guess there are some stories…”
“Exactly, the stories give demons all the reputation people want to give them,” responded Karma, waving his hand as he burned the scraps of his strawberries to ash.
“What about you? How would you describe demons?” asked Koro-sensei, making the man pause.
Karma hummed before turning to the cecaelia, summoning a fireball in his palm. “Demons are like fire.”
“They’re temperamental?” guessed Kayano.
“Yes. I mean, no!” yelled Karma, a blush starting to form.
“Oh! Perhaps they’re hard to look at if you stare too long?” guessed Koro-sensei, catching a fireball that flew at him and extinguished.
“No!” yelled Karma, pushing his hair back in frustration. “Fire is dangerous in the wrong hands. Fire is one of the base parts of life, believe it or not, like water, earth, or air. But the only reason people are scared of it is that they don’t know how to deal with it once they face it.”
With a huff, Karma walked ahead of the two. Kayano asked while catching up, “Oh, like oceans? That’s dangerous! People drown more often than you think.”
“No, because people aren’t going to argue that you don’t need water in your life,” retorted Karma, pushing forward. “So, demons are not like water.”
Koro-sensei hummed as he argued, “What about metal? Metal creates swords and weapons; those are all dangerous. You wouldn’t find someone that isn’t afraid to be met with a sword.”
Karma growled in annoyance, his wings flaring out in his anger. “No! You dumb octopuses! Demons are like fire! End of story! We’re moving on!”
