Here are some slight differences between the manga and anime adaption of Romantic Killer. I understand that adaptations can’t capture every single manga moment perfectly but I thought I’d share some cute moments I think were cuter in the manga. Enjoy! Also our fandom is still relatively small so lets show the series some extra love! Also please support the series by watching the anime on Netflix and read the manga on Manga Plus! Or buy the physical manga. Currently volume one is available through Viz Media. 🙃

First, just look at manga Kazuki’s soft smile and relaxed posture towards Anzu. Sooo cute! >.<

Secondly, sharing an umbrella is a common shoujo trope. Protecting someone from the rain while sometimes forgetting about yourself (hence getting a little wet from the rain) shows how much you care about them. Manga Kazuki getting rained on while shielding Anzu is extra sweet too.

There’s a panel depicting Sasuke and Sakura from behind, but the editor in charge said “Since Sasuke’s face isn’t shown much in the final episode, how about facing this side instead of his back?” Thank you for your suggestion I thought, and immediately turned their body to the front.

When I showed the corrected page to Mr Kishimoto (the editor in charge) he took the trouble to draw a revised proposal for the last page, which was almost the same composition as I had originally drawn. It was the same with Sasuke and Sakura’s back.
