This was for the second day of Saimatsu Month, the prompt for this day was Snapshot.
Akamatsu is being too casual about being sick, and that medicine tastes…like medicine, but she should really follow what the doc said. Fortunately, Saihara persuades her that being healthy comes with all sorts of benefits.

A Dance And A Kiss

From distance, Kaede can only looking at Shuichi with wonder.
He dance with excellent movement, making all girls fell into his dance. But his face... there's no expression he had.
Of course, Kaede secretly collecting his memories that contain his emotions that he cannot feel after he shatter his heart. So far, she managed to collecting them piece by piece as Princess Melody with the help of a magical hairpin. She did this without anyone know, even Maki and Kaito, Shuichi two closest people that always overprotective towards him.
Right now, as Shuichi dance gracefully, Kaede glanced at Maki who sit beside her. Everyone know that Maki didn't had any interest with Shuichi and rather likes Kaito, Shuichi's best friend who always near him. But perhaps because of Kaito's protectiveness, Maki also begun to overprotective with Shuichi.
Well, no wonder why. According to Tsumugi Shirogane, author of Tale of Lone Prince and Dark Crow, Shuichi's heart--or in this case, Prince Siger's heart--shatter to pieces in order to defeat the Dark Crow. But it means he lost his memories and his emotions. Maybe because of that, Kai and Mika--Kaito and Maki--who knows him very well from that story, want to protect him at all cost. Even it means never letting his memories ever coming back.
With the dance finished, every boys and girls giving Shuichi a loud applause. Kaede admitt his dance is wonderful. It will becoming more beautiful had he had more expression in his face.
"Wonderful, Shuichi. As expected from prodige, you had great talent," Kaito chimed in as he grabbed his shoulder.
"Really...?" Shuichi said, deadpan as always.
Maki approaching them. "Yes, Shuichi. You did."
"Is that so..."
Kaede shrugged. She want to compliment him, but knowing Maki and Kaito hostile attitude ever since she talked to Shuichi near a fountain, Kaede forced herself to not approach and causing trouble.
As those three slowly walk away, Kaede can only daydreaming of meeting Shuichi again.
"Hey, do you know that Shuichi's birthday almost close now?"
Her ears suddenly hearing a conversation between two girls behind her.
"Really? Oh my god, I really forgot!"
"Shame. Everyone in this school knows that. You probably the only person who doesn't know."
As they walk away, an idea appears inside Kaede's mind.

7th September. Shuichi's birthday.
Everyone at school decided to throw him a big party. Despite Shuichi never consider to celebrate it, Maki and Kaito insist to make a big party at school. Everyone get invite, of course. But it doesn't mean both teen letting themself to not guarding Shuichi.
But without anyone know, Shuichi sneaking out of the big hall and walking to an open garden. Why? Well, that's because someone sending him a letter that told him to go to Golden Garden at 11 night. Shuichi probably doesn't care to going, but a name taking his interest.
Princess Melody.
According to both Maki and Kaito, Princess Melody is a fictional character that fell in love with Prince Siger. But alas, she cannot confess her love. Because if she does, she will disappeared into nothing. A tragic story, Maki said. But it's just a story. It doesn't matter at all.
Yet, Shuichi disagree with Maki. He cannot sure why, but he wants to know her. She always appear everytime, dance in front of him, and giving him his heart's pieces.
If her story is truly tragic, Shuichi really hate whoever making her fate suffer like that.
Hate... that's another emotion he felt.
"You come."
Shuichi glanced at another person who appear. A blonde girl with a bun, wearing a pink ballerina dress with a swan symbol, and a purple ballerina shoes. Two hairpin with each different note type sit at her hair. She smiled, as always.
"Princess Melody..."
She closely walking to him and bowed. "My Prince."
"Why... would you coming here?" He asked her. "If Kaito and Maki know, they will make you get into trouble."
Princess Melody looked at him. "Are you worrying about me, Prince?"
"Of course I am! Why would I--" he stopped talking. A sudden realization hit him.
Worry. He's worrying about Princess Melody.
"You slowly can feel emotion. That's good." She glanced beside her. She looks... relief? "It's a progress."
She lend a hand to him. "Prince. Would you like a dance with me?"
Shuichi, without any though, decided to take her hand.
For time, they simply dance in waltz. Dancing with calm and harmony. Despite no instrument ever playing, a beautiful music playing at their surrounding. Moonlight shine at them, with beautiful star decorating their movement together.
"You always smile, Princess Melody." Shuichi said suddenly. "Why you always smile?"
Princess Melody simply laugh a little. "Because, Prince, whenever I see you, I cannot help but to be happy."
For a while, they just dancing. Shuichi guiding Princess Melody with one arm and lifting her at sky witn two hands.
As he slowly put her down, one of her hairpin glowing bright. A blue shadow of himself appears behind her, looking happy and sad at same time.
Princess Melody glanced at the shadow. "Hello, there. I found you."
The blue shadow nodded and suddenly turning into a small blue gem. As Princess Melody take the gem and put into his chest, she starts to crying and said. "Happy birthday, My Lonely Prince."
A kiss land right into his mouth. But Shuichi didn't bother to jerk away. He also reply her kiss. Then, slowly, they stand back yet keep their eyes at each other.
"Princess, I--"
"Hey, Shuichi!"
Shuichi looking back. Kaito's voice echo around even by afar.
When he turned front, Princess Melody already disappear.

Kaede looking at the trio from her hiding, felt sad as they walking away.
Shuichi looked lost. Kaede cannot blame him. After all, she just giving him a kiss. Probably his first kiss he ever had.
Slowly, Kaede walked away into a forest. She's not sure why. She just simply walking a bit far from school.
A pond can be see. Kaede never like to see her reflection at night. Simply because the night would repel her magic hairpin and showing her true self.
True to her though, she isn't looking at a blonde girl. She is looking at a white swan. That swan is her true self beforehand.
"This hairpin has a great magic inside. With this. You can transform into a teenage girl and become Princess Melody. However, this isn't permanent. If you ever saying something like a swan, the magic will repel and turning you back into a swan." Tsumugi's cold voice ringing inside her head. "Remember your task, Hakuchou-chan."
Truly, Kaede never forget her mission. She may just a swan, but she will do everything to complete her mission.
"Are you sure you can archive that?" Tsumugi dared her. "It's not a simple task. Many danger will arose to the prince."
"It doesn't matter," she said loudly. "I will protect the prince. I'm making sure of it."
No reply.
As midnight approach, Kaede walks away from a pond and never looking back.

It's been a day yet Mahiru keep and keep taking many pictures as much as she desire.
Her camera still shine as ever. A gift of her mother. Ever since her hand grab that camera, she cannot stop taking many picture at her surrounding.
She just taking a picture of her classmate when see spot two children walking toward a large cherry blossom. A boy and a girl. They look comfortable as they sit behind the large tree.
They looks so cute. Mahiru cannot help to approaching them.
"Hey, excuse me!"
The boy looks starled. The girl smiled.
"Can I take a picture of you two?" Mahiru asked. "Don't worry. I'm just want to take a picture."
They look confused but nodded.
After few times to adjust their position, Mahiru finally find a suitable angle to take a picture.
As she waving the photo, she glanced at the two kids with curious. They seems close, more than just a friend.
"Here you go."
The girl looks happy while the boy looks shy as ever. Mahiru cannot help but to smile.
As she said goodbye to them, she wonder if she will ever going to see them again.

Memories of the Killing Game -1
This is what I did for the first day of Saimatsu Month. The prompt for this day was: First Meet.
Saimatsu Month is hosted by @saimatsu-month .
Since we are looking back in time, I wanted to do something a bit hazy and dreamy like when you’re reminiscing something from the past. I couldn’t do the hazy thing and the orange/warm lights/highlights but I’m still satisfied with the result.
This looks great! I love adding the haziness to the artwork to emulate a memory!

Kaede and Kasumi are nervous as heck.
Both twins just reach five, yet they feel a preassure in that age. Their parents, who sit at front, giving them a good thumbs up when they see their daughters from a moment.
Kasumi, who panic the most, said. "Kaede, what should we do if our play going to be bad?"
Today, they will playing a performance of piano duet as a celebration of their elementary anniversary. When their homeroom teacher asked who shall perform, the twins just raised their hands without much thinking. That, and many students prefer to be watching, made the process much easier.
They had no idea it will becoming this.
"Oh? You two will duet?"
Behind them, a boy with black hat while wearing a suite, standing as he holding a small violin.
"Y-Yeah." Kasumu nodded. Then, she noticed. "Wait, are you...?"
"From Sakura Class, Saihara Shuichi."
As the loud sound appears from a teacher the twins never met, the boy early walking pass them and stop in middle of stage. He sighed calmly as he begin to performing a piece of music.
"Sarasate Zigeunerweisen," Kasumi whispered, knowing the piece due to hard practice with her violin performance.
"It's amazing," Kaede murmured.
She wondered how calmed he playing it without much worry. Kasumi herself had hard time to adjust playing that piece. But she noticed something. Why, she poundered. Why would he play it with that sad expression?
As he finished and bowed, a loud applause echo inside, even can be heard from backstage. Kaede's mind still lingering with his sad expression.
"Come on. The teacher is calling us."
While Kasumi dragging her, she looked again at the boy.
Shuichi Saihara. What a name he had.
I'm going to make him smile!
As the girls bowing and taking their seat, they nodded and starts to playing their parts at the big piano.
Kaede keep and keep playing with her heart beating fast and fast. Shuichi's sad face still intact in her mind, pushing her to play with all she can. Kasumi also did the same, didn't want to beaten up by her sister's performance. They played like a silent challange, striking each other yet in synch with each other.
All the audience just speechless. The twin playing Sleeping Beauty like a pro. Even their parents never expecting their daughters's skill will be this good. They just started playing piano (and violin for Kasumi) a year ago. And they just starts to play simple pieces. 12 months isn't enough to making their performance this good unless they had practice hours and hours for a day.
As their reach their last piece, Kaede wonder if he will smile. She hope he will smile.
With that, the twin finish their performance, adding with loud cheers from audience.
After bowing, Kaede searching the boy. And much to her relief, he looks suprised.
But no smile.
"Why?" She asked. "Why can't you smile?"
But she cannot said much as teachers and students from their class reaching her and force her and Kasumi to gather.
It was the first time they meet. But it certainly isn's the last time.
She certain about it.
