While setting up for the Napa Showhouse at Krug Winery in Napa, Lee Industries and Traditional Home Magazine produced a video for their “Shop Local” campaign. The shoot was supposed to take place on the Terrace of the Showhouse but due to construction on the terrace, we relocated to a grotto on the winery’s beautiful property.   Lee’s new outdoor collection brings the comfort of overstuffed furniture to the great outdoors. Saint D Home Staying Put

NO - Saint D Home is not changing locations in Healdsburg. Many people have seen our sign out front of the new building project going up on the corner of Center and Plaza Streets and wondered if we are moving?

When that building opens later this year, Pete and Cathy Seghesio's Healdsburg Meat Company will be the major attraction, offering hand crafted salumi, Journeyman wines (Seghesio’s new label), cheeses and a butcher shop unmatched by any in the North Bay.

Saint Dizier Design is thrilled to be the Interior Designers for the 5 loft-style suites on the second floor. This boutique ‘hotel’ will be unlike anything Healdsburg has ever had: each with brick walls and ceilings, fireplaces, French doors opening to beautiful views and kitchenettes. There will also be a rooftop, open-air event space that will undoubtedly be the place to be at sunset.

“You read my mind!”, as Glenn Shadix said to Catherine O’Hara in Beetlejuice.

I’m not saying the dreaded “M” word exactly but you can dance all around it and be right in step this spring. And why not? Every other color has made a comeback from chartreuse to peach to avocado (a dusty rose by any other name to be plum Shakespearean about it).

It was all over the runways in London, New York and Milan earlier this year and we’re planning to bring it to the home front in a big way. While some colors try to claim ownership of a space, there are those that just want to play well with others. Within the next few months, our own runway will become dusted with a palate that is lighter and fresher than anything we’ve ever done.

Our new color palate even sounds like summer: Vanilla Ice-Cream, Blueberry, Ripe Plum, Cornflower, Mocha Cream, Iced Lavender. Even the right shade of black can make mauvalous harmony. Ok, I’ll stop.

We pulled these samples together at Baker. That’s tooled leather in the center!

Ferragamo at London Fashion Week

I used to tell people that if they needed color inspiration for a room, just look in the closet – you probably wear the colors you love. But unless you’re way ahead of the fashion curve or you’ve been hanging out at runway shows, you may have to come in to SDH to get a taste of what I’m talking about.

To tide you over, here’s a room setting the uber-talented Thomas Pheasant did for his new Baker Collection. Forget dining – the whole room is edible!
