As I go to lie down from this temperature flipping + stress induced migraine: I’m not saying disliking Jannu is wrong. Honestly, there are a lot of traits about her that drive me insane and have me disliking many parts of her.

It is more that I can and will rip folks a new hole when she is being openly bastardized with the basis being very clear and blatant misinformation that revolves around the fanpandering nonsense known as FGO. I have said it so many times and I am tired of it: DW HAPLESS WAIFU’D HER TO A DISGUSTING LEVEL. This is nowhere near the Jannu that we saw in Apoc who was kicking ass and taking names.

That isn’t to say that some of what Jannu does/says isn’t unreasonable, but the bottom line is that Jannu has NEVER seen herself as above others, much less holier than thou though she does her best to turn the other cheek because that is how she was raised even if she is a soldier first--Her dialogue with Giles very explicitly flat out states:

“God will forgive you of anything and everything, for that is in His power. Those you have hurt, people as a whole--They do not have to. You will have to live with that.”

She has never placed people and God on the same level because there is a reason that the two are separate, that God can be considered all-powerful, almighty, and benevolent--He is divine, therefore he has the ability to forgive what people cannot, but she CLEARLY acknowledges that people are not the same, and they are not necessarily obligated to be all-forgiving as He is???

Woke: It is astounding and honestly compelling that Jannu could hold onto her faith amidst all that turmoil because it is not easy to continue to whole-heartedly believe in something when the world is against you. Only people who have been in that position can understand that struggle, burden, and sheer force of will that it takes to continue having faith whether in a person, their religion, or even in people as a whole. What is unreasonable is believing that just because you yourself are unable to do the same, that it’s unrealistic.
