âItâs too late.â
Ren quirked an eyebrow at Nikkiâ a little smirk playing at the edges of her lips. She simply pressed the brunette further into the door of the broom closet, her eyes sparkling with mischief even in the low lighting. âHow am I to wait to have you, until class has finished?â The smaller girl murmured, leaning in to connect their lips againâ slowly, this time. She wanted to savour the feeling of Nicolette pressed against her, knowing that after this she wouldnât be able to see her for hours, at least. And Ren was greedy. She wanted Nikki all to herself.
Nicolette hummed in pleasure, melting into the other girl. The darkness seeped around them, making the taller girl forget they were in a closet, hidden away from the world. It just felt like an empty space. Felt like a world of their own. âIf I knew how to be without you, Iâd tell you the trick.â Nikki whispered against Renâs lips, her eye lids fluttering between their kisses, wanting to soak up every vision of Ren she could while fighting the slowing of her pulse at how close, soft, and careful Ren was pressed against her. âI donât think Iâll ever know how..â She trailed off, raising a hand to brush through light brown hair.Â
Nikkiâs eyes fell open, the quivering of her breath tickling even her own lips. âWe have to stop meeting like this.â She whispers, her fingertips pressing tighter into Renâs hips. The buzzing in her head and the beating of her heart sounding in her ears began to calm, her lips nuzzling into a pale cheek. âNot that Iâm complaining, whatsoever.â
Weâre not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again.
Margot Robbie is a goddamn blessing. Thatâs it. Thatâs the post.
Who?
Ren left her eyes narrowed, but straitened a little, shuffling on her feet. âAmerican Gods. A Brit was cast in the lead role for the show, and I wanted to see if itâs worth my time.â Running a hand through her hair, her gaze flickered from Nicolette to the room around them. âWhy exactly were you wandering around after hours?â
âAh.â Nikki replied, watching Renâs eyes. âOne of my favorites. Itâs one of the only modern books that doesnât make me gag.â The brunette remained in her position, not wanting to expel too much energy, expecting Ren to walk off soon. âInsomnia. Boredom. Loneliness. Pick one.âÂ
Ren looked at Nikki with a slowly evolving baffled look, eyebrows furrowed. âWhat in the hell are you even saying?â She whispered with narrowed eyes, inspecting the woman in front of her.Â
Nicolette laughed, gently and warmly. Ren amused her. And Nikki loved to be amused. âNothing.â She said, pursing her lips as she glanced around. âWhat were you reading before I rudely interrupted?âÂ
ârenxford:
Rolling her eyes, Ren huffed, shifting herself to stand. âWell. Nobody asked for your opinion, but if you must know, my flatmate was either having a stroke, or very loud sex, and I wanted to finish my chapter.â Brushing out the wrinkles in her skirt, she dog eared her page and tucked her book away in her messenger bag, currently hung from her shoulder. âYou do realize you are creepinâ about in a library this late at night as well, right?âÂ
Nikki shrugged, watching the grumpy girlâs motions curiously. âI donât have anything else better to do.â She explained, walking a little closer to the girl now that she was standing. âInsomnia in the cities isnât a friend to those who want to watch things shine. I canât seem to find any stars in the sky here. All the light in the city, and we sacrifice the brightest ones.â Her voice didnât change as she spoke. âBut I found you, so maybe my luck is improving.âÂ
Ren knew that she mumbled. Reallyâ she did. But it was second nature, at that point. She`d been doing it since she was young. It was quiet enough that most times it just looked like she was mouthing the words. But it was all but dead silent in the deserted library.Â
Engrossed in the book she read, sat down between the stacks, knees pulled up to her chest, Ren didn`t notice Nikki until she was speakingâ making the little blonde jump, hand flying to press over her rapidly beating heart. âBloody hell!â She swore, sounding entirely too cliche for her own liking. Immediately, she glared at the woman before her. âThe hell is wrong with you?â She hissed angrily, thumb stuck between the pages of her book to keep her place. âMost people announce their presence when they appear in a library past midnight.â
Nikki couldnât help the slight smile on her lips, leaning against the books and crossing her arms over her chest. âA lot, as far as Iâve been told.â She offered, not really committing to the statement, her hazel eyes swirling with amusement.Â
âMost people- especially pretty girls, donât hang out in a creepy library this late at night.â She pursed her lips in thought, tilting her head slightly. âWell, sane girls.âÂ

Nikki let her fingers brush along the books as she walked by them, bored as she walked through the aisles. But the library was the only place open this time of night, and at the very least, she could strike up some conversation. She just had to keep her eye open for a certain blonde.Â
Walking around the corner, she heard a slight mumbling; quiet enough to be hidden at any other time. But it was late, and Nikki had good ears. She recognized the small girl, her footsteps quiet as she closed the distance between them. âYou know you can take those back to your room, right?â She asked, her voice smooth as velvet as she leaned against the table.Â

Quinn: What show is that? The one with the girls.
Nikki: Oh, it's called Wynonna Earp. They're sweet.
