the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.

I have read a lot of scifi romances and something i wanna see happen so bad is for a female lead to beat the snot out of the male lead. Cuz theres the trope of small dainty woman and big alpha male who is aggressive but protects her and like great fine whatever but just once can the female lead be like "stop being patronizing i did fucking jujitsu. Actually, lets go right now. Lets spar" and she beats him. Like come on i need something different. Its so monotonous

My goal was 100 but im gonna go for 150!!

was just rereading one of my fav fanfics (Stealing Harry) and i realized Sirius is always wearing a dog collar. it’s only ever talking about during sex scenes but it literally says he is always wearing it.

THAT MEANS WHEN THEY GO TO DIAGONALLY AFTER HARRY RUNS AWAY FOR A QUICK SEC HE IS WEARING IT. WHEN THEY SIT FOR THE PORTRAIT HE IS WEARING IT. WHEN HE TALKS TO LITERALLY ANY ADULT HE IS WEARING A DOG COLLAR.

thinking about how people could probably see Cardans tail thrashing under his clothes (whenever he gets really upset) because if i’ve learned anything from having cats it’s that you cannot hold those weapons back especially by mere clothes or blankets.

it’s just a funny visual of Cardan looking calm or even smiling but anyone behind him seeing the tail move under his clothes and hearing fabric noises.

i love Young Royals. i can’t stop talking about it to everyone that i interact with. i was trying to pinpoint why exactly i like it so much when i could barely watch an episode without pausing multiple times (second hand embarrassment is strong with this one) and i think i’ve got it. i see myself in these characters but not just myself, i also see my friends and family.

Wille, scared to be himself and anxious to express his feelings. pressured by everyone around him to be perfect and wonderful. he loves fiercely but is ruled but his anxiety, he wants so badly to be prioritized but is only cared about in terms of his use to the monarchy

Simon, strong and self righteous. outwardly confident and brave but on the inside someone who is just as scared as everyone else is. someone who puts his loved ones first but will stand up for himself and others when being mistreated

Felice, happy to love her friends and loyal to a fault but extremely self destructive and kind of secretive. she keeps a lot of her life a secret from her parents and lies to social media about her whereabouts but she is still an open and honest person, she doesn’t shy away from conflict and is extremely brave.

Sara, awkward and unsure but unfailingly fun. she feels a pressure to conform and will do anything to do that. happy to help people and eager to make friends even if she’s not great at maintaining them.

all of these characters are wonderfully flawed and represent different aspects of not only myself but the people i see around me. it’s so realistic that it’s painful.
