Inspiration
So lately I’ve noticed all the different kinds of girls on tumblr. The ones that have the pictures with all the notes? These five types of girls are basically all the types of girls I see on my dash. Minus the nekked girls, but I didn’t really want to draw that so :T

A story is true. A story is untrue. As time extends, it matters less and less. The stories we want to believe… those are the ones that survive, despite upheaval and transition and progress. Those are the stories that shape history. And then what does it matter if it was true when it was born? It’s found truth in its maturity, which if a virtue in man ought to be no less so for the things men create. - Black Sails, XXXVIII

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (1.04) | THE RUTHLESS PURSUIT OF BLOOD WITH ALL A CHILD’S DEMANDING
The scene in the tramway was so striking to me. Louis and Claudia riding at the back (because, Jim Crow south), while Lestat – and we later find out, Antoinette – ride at the front.
It is a physical representation of the emotional divide between the characters at the beginning of the episode: the battle lines have been drawn, Claudia and Louis are seemingly at a disadvantage – always one step behind Lestat, but Claudia is determined to follow through with the plan.
This scene is yet another brilliant demonstration of how the writers incorporate the added complexity of Louis and Claudia's race into every aspect of the narrative.
Louis and Claudia being black in this adaptation is not just surface level window dressing to win diversity points. Their race is an integral part of their characters and how they relate to Lestat.
You chose Lestat over her, time and time again.
