HAPPY 20TH ANNIVERSARYYYY
[Utaban]1998.11.03 V6’s Letter - From Morita to Sakamoto
To Sakamoto-kun,
I don’t think Sakamoto-kun has forgotten. That day, one year after V6 was formed.
I was late because I was waiting for the manager to contact me. Even though it wasn’t because I overslept, I was scolded by the staff.
I became sulky and just as I wanted to reply to them, “You’re annoying,” Sakamoto-kun grabbed hold of my hair and yelled, “What’s with that attitude?!”
Even though it was embarrassing, I cried in front of everyone.
Even Sakamoto-kun didn’t understand me, I thought. That was very frustrating for me.
However, now I realized. The one who didn’t understand was me. As I was the one who caused trouble to other people, I should be the one to honestly apologize. That was what Sakamoto-kun was trying to say.
I may seem awkward with Sakamoto-kun, but in truth I really relied on you.
There were many times that I saw you holding your head in the corner of the room when everyone else was fooling around.
I think that there is no one else who thinks more about V6 than Sakamoto-kun. Although Sakamoto-kun always sees people’s strengths and says “That guy is really amazing”, I think that Sakamoto-kun who can honestly call a person “Amazing” is even more amazing.
When I turn 27, I think that it’d be good if I can become like Sakamoto-kun. We still have lots more to do so I don’t want to say words like “Thank you” just yet. I’ll be depending on you from now on too.
