I finally made one for my dearest character based off TEC and NWCC. She's one of my dearest made characters I've learned to love and feel attached with.
warning: The four losers have a crush on you and can't handle it, no use of y/n, fluff (as far as this is even possible with them)

Bill
The moment he dreamt of you, when his beautiful, lustful Star Trek dream was interrupted by the sight of you. A sight that shouldn't have thrilled him so much when he saw you in that short red uniform...a dream that showed him you out of all people.
Bill would hold his tongue, not daring to tell the others. The bad thing was that he couldn't ignore you, you were in class and you were only a few seats away from him.
But his eyes couldn't stop looking at you, he'd long since finished his algebra exercises and he just couldn't bring himself to read a comic book, he was too absorbed by you.
Worst of all your smile had turned his cheeks red with anger and shame, how dare a normal boring person look at him, the leader of the club. But the beating of his heart was not out of anger, when he heard a click at the end of the hour and saw your pen drop, his body seemed to move on its own.
He didn't have to look up to see you, he stood in front of the centre of your body and hastily turned his head away, "Your pen" he pressed out and flinched as your fingers brushed his, "Thank you Bill...nice major violence t-shirt" he heard you say and looked at you in disbelief.
A female being...a female being knew comics?! Wordlessly grabbing his things and swearing he heard the shouts of his friends, but he didn't dare turn round because then he would see you again and that damned smile.
Bill had a never ending denial phase but with a little time who knows maybe you'll bump into each other in the library and you'll engage him in a conversation about comics well maybe from now on it will be a repeat meeting just the two of you and maybe two hearts beating for each other.

Josh
He couldn't explain it, but for some time his searches for action fugues and collectible figures went in a female direction, not unusual when he wanted to see his sexist B-movie stars in skimpy clothes...what was unusual though was that they all started to look like you.
A realisation that left him breathless as if after a short sprint as he looked at the figure in a pink top and tight jeans with red lipsticked lips, "No-No this can't be true!" he shouted at the figure he had fetched from the mailbox. An outfit he would recognise anywhere.
It was the same outfit you wore last week, an outfit that had drawn his attention to the wearer. He hadn't been able to get you out of his head, this beauty that hardly any figure could portray, a body that was so much more flexible than any figure he had.
At school he sat a few seats away from you, the assignments long finished and Josh hoped for the break when he could go to the club room with the others. A room they went to after the bell rang and he suddenly saw you coming towards him.
To his amazement, he saw a 1981 Wonder Woman figurine in your hands with the glowing exclusive laso of truth and stopped in front of you. "Where did you get it?" he asked, his voice almost breaking and barely hearing his volume, not seeing his friends looking at him in anger and confusion as he almost crushed you.
Her answer of "I collect heroine figures for the film club I make stopmotion films with them" left his mouth hanging open before his expression became one of excitement. "New possibilities!" he shouted hastily, touching the figurine hurriedly but carefully, feeling the warmth of his fingers on hers as he ran back to his friends.
But the next day he sneaked into your club, having brought his own figures to shoot action-packed scenes for the camera. They were the best when it came to shooting and moving the characters, but most of all it was the hours they spent together and besides the films, their feelings seemed to come together like a film.

Pete
Lost in his horror films he hadn't noticed it at first, he had looked through his collection so many times and it only occurred to him now when he looked at the cover for Bloody Wednesday, "By the machete of Jason" he said surprised when the woman on the cover looked too much like you.
A resemblance he had noticed as his gaze lingered rather obviously on the top, the way the bright colour hugged the torso and that amused look as you chatted with your friends, Pete was a simple horror fan and the idea of seeing you in a zombie apocalypse was just thrilling.
His love of horror seemed to be spreading, at least his heart wasn't beating from the excitement of a Twin Peaks marathon, but from seeing you at lunchtime. His wide grin, the just-too-exuberant look in his eyes, he knew he was going to be the first with a girlfriend.
Of course he had to be the first, his charm and perverted nature he just had to be the first. Of course, at the next club meeting there was a fit of laughter from the others who made fun of both his hope and his misconception.
After all, no clear-thinking female being would be willing to put up with a horror freak like him, would she? At least he wouldn't give up hope, even if it meant that he would be pulled back down to earth. Not taking his eyes off you at school, he waited for the 'right' moment.
A moment just before the end of the break, he came up to you in a b-movie ripe moment he let himself stumble and dropped a few of his best horror films and characters in front of you, "All good? Nice horror collection" he heard the anxious little question and saw that she was already starting to pick up his things.
"It's all right now, beauty" he winked, his voice almost carrying over as their hands touched and he saw the smirk on her lips. But this cinematic meeting seemed to turn into a horror film date after school. Maybe he would be the first one with a girlfriend after all.

Jerry
On the floor of his room were dice, books, maps, and trading cards from the latest set for his next campaign, which he was preparing. But his eyes didn't leave the card of the fairy princess, because this painted beauty looked a lot like you.
Of course he had seen the fairy princess many times before, but the more he looked at the card, the more captivated he became. "How did you escape me?" he wondered, placing the tip of his finger on her hand. She looked exactly like his classmate Dain.
A realization that his friends, however, rather dismissed as his imagination and a bad hope when the four of them had retreated into the shade of the schoolyard to read comics and hope that school was finally over so they could join the club. But Jerry, Jerry's gaze was not on the speech bubbles, his gaze was on his fairy princess.
A princess who sat alone on a bench, nibbling on a muesli bar while enjoying the sun. She looked so pretty, a delicate creature, a future queen of the mystical realm of the forest to which he would send his friends in the next campaign.
The break was over, however, and just as they rose, a gust of wind blew and with a shrill scream, Jerry hurried after his fairy princess card that had been blown out of his hand. "Come back, my holiness!" he called angrily and saw his fingers close around the card you had snatched out of the air.
Puzzled and cautious, he stopped a few meters away from you, his tousled blonde hair slightly blocking his view as he saw you coming towards him. "The fairy princess, future ruler of the realm, an outstandingly pretty card" your words left him speechless as he felt your gentle hand on his for a moment when you returned it to him.
It was only a brief meeting, one that seemed destined to be short-lived, but it was a meeting that would become many. Jerry could always hear his beating heart when he had his elf princess in front of him, her voice reporting cards and the princess finding her prince more attractive than any other.

Bill
While no one (including Bill) would ever expect that he’d ever get married as long as he lived, he would adapt fairly quickly to the married life.
Sure he’d be expected to be waited on and catered to when he imagined the idea of marriage but hell, if you figured out a way to tame him or got him to truly care enough you could get him to budge on his previous thoughts.
He wouldn’t work unless he was literally pressured into it somehow or you could hook him up with a job that he could do at home so he would almost always be at the house whether you went out to work or not.
But hey, that’d make him eligible to be a great contender for a stay at home dad. Which yeah, might not be a great idea until he improved himself a little but depending on where you two were in the relationship he may be in therapy or doing something to get a little better.
You may have had to essentially twist his arm to get him to agree to it but he didn’t want to lose you so there’s no way he’d actually be able to refuse you no matter how stubborn he is.
I mean, this man can’t do much without you anyways. Bill needs other people more than he likes to admit and this would especially be true for you.
Of course, spats and arguing like a typical “married couple” would occur with him fairly often but it’s just sort of impossible to have any relationship with Bill Dickey without arguing with him at least time to time. He was stubborn and that part of him likely would never change.
Now when it comes to being domestic, he’s definitely a bit of a disaster. He’s definitely not an experienced homemaker but he’s not terrible at cleaning and keeping the place organized. After all, he wouldn’t be able to keep his collection in peak condition if he was a total slob.
He only really is able to cook food in the microwave and toaster when he’s not just putting together some prepackaged food, but he’d still make meals for you when he was feeling nice. Just don’t expect him to be a 5 star chef.
He may not be able to provide all that much but he most certainly would be defensive you. Even if he was in therapy he wouldn’t hesitate to cook up some hair brained scheme to make any bastard who messed with you’s life a total hell.
As protective as he was he’s still not the most emotionally present, but he has tender moments with you time to time when you two are behind closed doors. You’re the only one that really allows him to air his feelings and even if it could be like pulling teeth with him he was able to open up more easily with you than anyone else.
Of course, he’s definitely more physically affectionate still than he is emotionally but it’s not that he doesn’t try for you. He lets his walls down more with you than anyone and he feels like he can be himself with you even if he’s just sharing his passion for anything comic related, which happens to be his biggest form of affection.
Yes, it may be odd for the previous gate-keeping toxic fan Bill always was but when it comes to you sharing his knowledge is in essence one of the many ways he shows his affection. If he’s going to go to see the newest Marvel movie, check out the newest comics he wants, or even rewatch some of his favorite shows he’s making sure you’re included.
And hey if kids came down the line later you can bet that he’d be making sure that they as well had a wealth of knowledge to pass down to them as soon as he could.
Now going back to the topic of affection. Bill isn’t exactly the most attentive. He can forget anniversaries and he doesn’t always plan a ton of date nights but what he does is always a genuine attempt on his part as he tries to improve himself.
Josh
As much as Mrs. Levy wanted Josh to settle down with a nice girl, Josh saw it happening more in theory than in actuality.
Sure the idea was nice when he imagined it but having to actually focus on someone else’s needs over his own also seemed kind of anxiety inducing.
And when it came to adapting to living alongside someone such as the way you do when you’re married Josh took a bit longer to adjust.
He worried about every toss and turn he did when he was trying to sleep, he didn’t know if he was expected to make breakfast if he woke up first, if you were expecting him to be the sole bread winner even with his meager job as an editor. The thoughts, piled on and on and Josh quickly would paralyze himself with fear.
It wouldn’t be until the two of you can talk things over and work out a sort of “schedule” or discussion of what you both expected for him to start doing better with the adjustments. It doesn’t come natural to him with how neurotic he can be at times but soon enough it comes like second nature to him.
He grows used to having your company at all times. Sleeping snuggled up together under the covers, having dinner together after work, and being able to share all his passions with you just as he did when the two of you were dating.
He’s always a bit unsure of himself thanks to his mother’s constant comments but so long as you reassure him often he’s rather loving even if he shows his affection clumsily at times. He always remembered the important dates like anniversaries or date nights, he always tried to give you gifts when he thought he should, and he attempted to be considerate of your needs.
However, sometimes he was still a bit self-absorbed and expected you to coddle him when he’s tired from work or not feeling well. It wasn’t just because of any gender stereotypes that he held from when he was younger that he outright expected it but his own parents spoiling him enough to make it the norm for him as he grew up.
He’d definitely have to outgrow it and learn to be a bit more independent through your relationship with him but as he worked on himself and got the reassurance he needed from you his confidence would grow.
He doesn’t start out very skilled in the domestic department. He didn’t grow up being filthy or anything nor was he as bad a cook as Bill was but he was coddled still and that caused him to have to learn the hard way that when you’re an adult the work is never done.
Having to clean everyday is one thing and the work of having to figure out what to eat when you don’t have the stomach of a teenager who can eat junk everyday was another. At least thanks to his job being mostly from home aside from when he traveled he didn’t mind manning the kitchen.
His cooking isn’t perfect. He mostly can use the oven or boil water if he’s not just putting some basic ingredients together but it makes him feel like he’s providing someway for you at least so he’s glad to
His cleaning isn’t all that bad either if we’re being honest. He’s home most of the day so he can pick up a little here and there and with his meticulous up keeping of his collection it isn’t like he’s unused to doing having to maintain the place. It just might end up getting some complaints out of him as he learns the amount of work maintaining an entire home is compared to having your mother do so.
However, should it come about if the two of you ended up having children you can bet that he’d be the most worrywart of a father even if he’d love to share his interests with more than you and indoctrinate his future kids into the ways of the nerd kind.
Pete
Pete never would expect to get married nor expect to want to. I mean, he assumed he ought to have some bastard children out there somewhere possible with the way he’s slept around but actually committing to someone wasn’t really in his plans.
But hey life was full of surprises and if Pete found someone that can stand his ass long enough to wanna settle down he wasn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
He might be a bit flaky and can be forgetful with anniversaries and things but he’s fiercely loyal if you found a way to tame him and get him to settle down.
Of course, adapting to the married life is a bit difficult for him but not quite in the way it would be hard for Josh. If anything, Pete was always having to fend for himself so going from being one man against the world to being a team against the world.
The tender moments are rare but the fact they exist at all with Pete says a lot. He never was used to anything gentle. His family never talked about their feelings nor accepted him for who he is and with all their physical abuse he quickly got used to showing all his emotions through anger or his fists.
But that didn’t work in a marriage. I mean don’t get me wrong, he’d have moments where he could be a dick. He’d lash out at times or say something too harshly but he’d never intend to hurt you.
He’d have to work on himself, and being in a relationship with someone who would support him and see that he’s actually quite sensitive deep down (even if he’d rather die than admit it) would probably be enough to make him realize that he needed to do better by you.
It wouldn’t come without struggle given how stubborn Pete was, but after getting “nagged” enough he’d get help if it’d make you happy. He may complain about it every time even but maybe he’d come to share that he was grateful for the push later down the line.
Pete wasn’t very affectionate all the time. Sure he’d compliment you and be physically affectionate but sweet words weren’t really his style. He was pretty vulgar but even if he wasn’t a Casanova with his words, he most certainly made sure you felt loved in his own way.
He was pretty scattered overall, but he’d try to do what he could for you when he wanted to be nice. It could have varying results of course with how he could throw himself right into something without a second thought but his intentions were still good.
Domestically he may be a bit lacking but he didn’t mind cooking for you. His family cooked often when he was growing up so he knew some things in the kitchen even if his specialty was mostly using a toaster oven and air fryer.
He wasn’t much of a cleaner though so you’d be mostly on your own there. It wasn’t that he was filthy, but he was just horrifically disorganized. His side of the room was often in chaos, his belongings that weren’t dear to him scattered all over the place but hey if it stuck to his side only it wasn’t so bad.
Besides, thanks to you he may at least begin to get back into his old hobbies instead of chasing after quick thrills as he did once he got into the horror porn industry.
He could grow his horror collection again and regain his passion he had for the horror scene like when he was younger. And even more important he could share what he loved with you and feel like he wouldn’t be scorned or misunderstood for it.
Plus, with the way he loved being “active” he may even end up wanting to have kids he could share those passions with too.
He wouldn’t be perfect of course, he’d always have his moments he might slip up and fall back into old habits but he’d never hurt his family in any way intentionally. If he had a wife and child, he’d sooner die than let them ever feel the way that he had as a kid with his father growing up.
Jerry
As Jerry aged he gained a lot more confidence in himself but even so marriage wasn’t something he had necessarily expected to experience in his life even if he had always hoped to be able to settle down one day with the woman he loved.
If anything it was only hard for him to believe that it was happening because it felt like a dream. He was the adoring type of partner and you were his world so he was overjoyed that he’d truly get to spend the rest of his life with you.
In fact, because he was so attached to you he’d find it fairly easy to adjust to the married life. He never really enjoyed being alone so having you with him all the time at home was a welcome change.
He could of course, suffer at times from his low confidence and need reassurance but otherwise Jerry was always trying to be the one to support you more than the other way around.
He wanted to always do what he could for you even if some of his attempts could be awkward and clumsy even after the two of you were wed for a good while.
However, he doesn’t let that stop him from still trying to show that he’d support and provide for you in any way he could.
Domestic wise he had a lot to learn but he was eager to jump right into it with his career not earning a ton of money. He knew it wasn’t necessarily expected for him to be the sole bread winner but Jerry always wanted to take most things upon himself even without you asking him to, and this was no exception.
Jerry’s skills in the kitchen improve quickly as he continues to cook for you whenever he can. He might not be a pro chef but he can definitely boil water, use an oven, and follow a recipe. It’s certainly isn’t anything spectacular but it’s made with care even when it’s just a box of macaroni.
His cleaning on the other hand is a little better. Jerry’s always carefully maintained his collection over the years so keeping his space clean is nothing too difficult for him.
He likes to have order in the home anyways, especially with all the traveling he has to do for work. He doesn’t want to return to chaos and if he could, he’d love to have you come with him every time he traveled.
If you couldn’t for work or because you possibly ended up having kids with him down the line he wouldn’t voice any complaints even if he didn’t want to be alone. He’d definitely want to call you or video call you every chance he could and to share how his most recent matches were going with you.
He adored you with every fiber of his being and he wouldn’t be able to hide his excitement when he returned with gifts in hand as well. It was never anything too crazy but he always wanted you to know that he was thinking about you all the time you both were apart.
He was always affectionate with you and was emotionally available whenever you needed him. He didn’t care if he was half way across the country in a different time zone and you called him in the middle of the night. He’d be there for you no matter what he had to do.
He was determined to always be your knight in shining armor even to the point he could come across as self sacrificial at times.
However, you wouldn’t ever have to worry about him avoiding working on himself or your relationship. Fights may be few and far between but he’d always be quick to work things out between the two of you.
He knew communication was important between the two of you and he always wanted you to feel that you could speak to him about anything even if it was anything he did wrong.
He’d especially want to make sure that you let him know if he ever rambled on too long about his interests or if you didn’t enjoy any of the things that he was excited about because as much as he wanted to share his passions with you he didn’t want you to dislike when he’d share his passions with you.
If anything, he’d love if you felt comfortable enough to share your passion for your hobbies just as he shared his love of fantasy and games with you. And should you two end up having children he would want to be there to support their interests just as much as he hoped to show them the things he loved as well.
The comic panel from 'The Intervention', one of my favorite drawn on comic panels
(I wasn't sure if I was going to copy the slur in. I put larp instead to play it safe.)
I genuinely love @evandorkin's art. I wanted to be a comic artist when I was young, it wasn't just a dream but also a passionate one. Comics like these made me draw a lot with just a ballpoint pen on any piece of paper ever since I was a kid—until I got access to digitalized tech when I finally convinced my dad to get me my first drawing tablet as a teenager. It could have been my unmedicated adhd, but I still love to draw everywhere even in my long lectures. I wish I could see the mastermind of this comic one day even if I'm in the other side of the world.
