THIS IS A PSA FOR THE ENTIRE KPOP FANDOM! STOP EDITING FANTAKEN PICTURES!
You have been askedĀ countlessĀ times toĀ stopĀ editingĀ fantaken pictures.Ā More and more edits arise on tumblr by the hour and itās seriously pissing off fansites.Ā
I urge you to not scroll past this and I urge you to actually read what I am writing. Heed my warning.Ā
Donāt think fansites donāt know whatās happening because they do. They know all about tumblr and how thousands of people ignore their warnings and instructions. Some fansites even use Tumblr to host their pictures. Fansites have even resorted to writing in bold black letters on their websites IN ENGLISH:Ā Do not edit. Do not crop. Do not modify.
Every single fuck yeah blog you see even states theĀ exact sameĀ words. Under every single picture uploaded to a fuck yeah there are theĀ sameĀ words.Ā DO NOT EDIT. DO NOT CROP. DO NOT MODIFY.Ā Some fansites even say do not move photo because they really do not want their work edited.
Hereās a very useful guide to understand the warnings/guidelines of fansites:Ā
ė¶ķķģ§ė§ģøģĀ = Do not take out without crediting.
ģ¶ģ²ė°ķź³ ź°ģøģĀ (or anything with ģ¶ģ²) = CREDIT. Credit the fansite. List it somewhere in your post. Put their fansite as a source. Do something - CREDIT THEM.
2ģ°Øź°ź³µźøģ§Ā = Do not edit.Ā
Anything withĀ źøģ§Ā = no.
ģ“ėģ ģģ Ā = Take out freely to anywhere.
ģ¬ģ ė”ė© źøģ§Ā = Reuploading is prohibited.
ģ¬źø°ģģė§ ė³“ģøģĀ (or anything similar to this) = Just look at it here.
When fansites close down because of edits, youāre ruining things for the people who enjoy looking at the original, non-edited pictures. Think of the others. Donāt be selfish. There other ways to gain attention and followers on tumblr.Ā
Hereās a few reasons why you shouldnāt edit fantaken photos:
the fansite masters have to save up A LOT for their cameras. their cameras and equipment cost A LOT.
the pictures they take are their pride and joy. fansite masters usually dedicate their lives to following around your idols so they can snap the perfect shots.
fansite masters wake up at ungodly hours of the early morning to get to the event the idol will be at so they have a good seat/spot to take pictures.
this is their form of art
they tell you no and you should listen
IT PISSES THE MASTERS OFF
If that wonāt stop you, look at this. I went onto google to see if I could find any lists that compiled fansites from any fandom that have previouslyĀ shut downĀ because of fantaken edits. It has happened before.Ā I came across this post instead. Please read it. I disagree with everything this person says and YOU should too.
āIf admins want to bitch and close their fansites,Ā let them. Weāre not forcing them to close down, itās their choice. They made the decision to blow things way out of proportion and close their site.āĀ
ā a quote by that post I linked above.
Fansites are not blowing anything out of proportion. Itās their own god damn website and they are allowed to say if they want their work edited or not. They choose to close because so many people donāt want to listen to the guidelines. Wouldnāt you want to close your website down too if someone continued to steal your work? Put yourself in their shoes once. Imagine yourself as a painter or an artist. You have this piece that youāre most proud of. Someone comes along and steals it from you, claiming they created it, and that person gets more attention for it than you did. ITāS EXACTLY THE SAME PROSPECT.Ā
I say this on behalf of all the fansites that canāt get it through anyoneās thick skulls, PLEASE, FOR THE SAKE OF EVERYONE WHO AGREES, STOP EDITING FANTAKEN PHOTOS!
Let me introduce you to the Legend of Kpop, Shinhwa, who has been writing a legendary history in Korean entertainment industry.

DECODING EOEO MV TEASER
After the EOEO MV teaser has been dropped, the initial reaction was to watch it countless times and take decent snapshots. But that innocent agenda led to this curiosity, which in turn led us to try decoding the 24-second teaser.
Disclaimer: This is made out of frustration and long months of waiting for this comeback. We donāt know the actual concept/story of the song or video.
Yibo was so on point on! Weāre guessing it was a forewarning from the very start. But who wouldāve thought it will be all about neon?
Upon playing the teaser for the very first time, we noticed the tattoos of musical symbols on Wenhan- the most prominent one was a G-Clef as shown on the photo above. We shrugged and moved on but not long after, we discovered Seungyoun had tattoos too! He had them on his legs and knees, we then decided to replay the video. Sungjoo had the tattoos in his arms, and as for Yixuan, weāre guessing it was the one under his right eye (which could be easily mistaken for as āeyeliner-gone-wrongā incident). As for Yibo, all his pure ānon-neonā form are painted red (with hints of dark aura), so we couldnāt clearly see his tattooā¦.or maybe we already did a month ago.
Nothing much left to say about these tattoos, but its positive that all members have them. Whether thereās a meaning behind these tattoos or none, all thatās left for us to do is wait for the full version of the video and hopefully some bonus ābehind-the-sceneā cuts too (Yuehua, we are knocking on your door)!
From point 0:13, you could already see the members in their pure ānon-neonā form, except for Yibo (donāt dread his corn row, it wonāt last for long). In our opinion, it has something to do with a certain memberās passion, craft or hobby (but of course it can be just about anything).
Seungyoun was surrounded by speakers and amplifiers so weāre guessing it really has something to do with dancing (or him being uncontrollably loud?), as what he also did in the video.
For Sungjoo, his background were masks and lights and if you didnāt know, heās a theater major- acting, and of course its his limelight.
Yixuan was surrounded by television sets (with his images in it) so it could talk about their stardom, or maybe about belief and confidence in oneself?
As for Wenhan, itās kinda vague- he was leaning on a big mirror (probably heās in a dance studio?) with splotches of the neon paint, though weāre guessing his passion is all about music because of his tattoo?
And then we came across this:
No face, just a form. But you donāt need to be a genius to figure out who this person is.Ā Guess who dyed his hair black!Ā The neon paint may be a representation of something that holds them back; could be sadness or grief or even something dark about them, as opposed to its /real/ colors. It can also be about breaking free from their lovely debut image (and please donāt forget the fact that they were greatly involved in making this album). Neon, and black light. Thereās honestly still a lot to decode!
Here, we could see that Yibo was being āshoweredā with paint (misty clouds)!
And so after some time, pink neon paint was splatteredĀ all overĀ his face and shirt, whereas the other members have them on some parts, but not entirely.
We also have to point out the scene where Yibo and Wenhan starts hitting the āinnocentā neon-paint-covered-mannequins.
So weāre getting the feeling that Yiboās āpainā has something to do with Wenhan- seeing as his background was all about the splotches of paint [and that out of the 4 members, his non-neonized form was the only close up one. Hiding something there, buddy? (refer to 3rd photo pls)]. Yixuan kicked one mannequin and yeah, we also saw Sungjoo hold a bat but we never saw him hit the mannequin with it; only Yibo and Wenhan did. Thereās something really fishy about these two.
Notice how splotches of neon paint was splashed on Wenhan as he hit the mannequin, but it didnāt happen to Yibo (with matching colorful cloud explosions)? Wenhan even hid behind these mannequins!
Going back to the title: EOEO. Its feels like the sound of alarm or wake up call. Waking up from something or anything at all, we donāt really know. But in the end theyāre holding torches and its like a rebellion. Feels liberating.
We may be talking trash here but nothing can be right or wrong, so feel free to share your opinions! In the end, a 24-second teaser cannot do justice to the whole song and video. So we have to wait for the whole MV to drop and see if anything about this post makes sense at all. In the end, its all about the music!
For those who havenāt watched yet, here are the links to the MV teasers!
