Sal had been told by others before not to linger in the graveyards or by tombstones. Not where the spirits could take advantage of his abilities. However, he still didn't believe that every spirit would seek to sap his energy. Not purposefully anyway. Not after what he had experience back in his own world.

So, that being said, when he found a lone tombstone by itself in the woods in Cotes, he couldn't help but linger there. It was dirty with weeds growing up all around it, and it looked like no one had visited it in quite sometime.

"Mm...looks like it needs to be cleaned."

Getting back into the swing of things within Spirale meant keeping his mind busy. Which also meant keeping up with his regular part-time job as a delivery boy. It didn't pay a whole lot, but it was good exercise, and it let him see more of the city than he usually did.

Archimedes was nice area to walk through. So Sal didn't mind moving through it to reach his destination.

He carefully opened the yard's little gate, and stepped inside. It seemed like whoever lived here certainly enjoyed gardening. There were all sorts of vegetables and other plants growing. After taking one more quick glance at the pretty yard, he reached up and knocked on the door.

Church wasn't a place you'd normally find Sal. Not that he had anything against it of course. It just wasn't a place he'd be on a regular day. However, he was feeling a bit overwhelmed in this moment, and he just needed somewhere to think.

So here he was, at the steps of Church Onoma. Wondering if he should go in, or perhaps just stay out on the steps and allow himself to think out here. He wondered if it would be disrespectful if he went inside when he didn't plan on making this a common occurrence.

Not a day goes by when she doesn't check her phone to see if anyone she recognizes has returned. V, Nero, Kyrie, Sal, and many more. Whenever the eclipse begins, she's checking her phone for familiar arrivals, and today is any day as the others, except...

"Sal. He's back."

She doesn't even have to go far, though. She takes one step to take her out the door of her home and to where Sal might be, but the doorknob turns and the door opens.

Sal has found his way back home, himself. Ismael hadn't realized she had been holding her breath.

She exhales and releases a soft, "Hey."

As Sal's eye landed on Ismael, he immediately took note of how long her hair had gotten. This gave him pause, because he was able to discern the amount that of time that had passed during his absence. Although, for him it hadn't felt like time had moved a single inch.

After Ismael exhaled, he stepped in close and wrapped his arms around her; pulling her into his chest. He held her there, just taking in her presence. "I'm sorry."

XTREME ICE CHALLENGE 🛼🛹❄️

After skating around on some particularly goofy-looking ramps in the obstacle course, Sal decided to take a break near the biggest ramp on the course. It was there that he noticed a young stranger taking a look around. Perhaps they were hesitant to try the course, or they didn't know where to begin?

"Hey." Sal addressed him with a casual albeit friendly gesture of his hand. "You're gonna need some skates before trying the course. ...Unless, you like...aren't going to use the skates." Which wouldn't be a very smart idea..

"I've done one of these before, back during Halloween." Sal commented casually as he waited in line with Anda. "My favorite part is being as stoic as possible when the actors jump out. ..It really confuses them. Haha." That being said, it was clear that he wasn't concerned or anxious at all about this frosty-horror themed maze.

It's a little less serious for Eiden. A bit of vent maybe. In the end he prefers his life a little more eventful. Even so - it doesn't make Sal's kind words worth any less.

" Hmm, I wouldn't want to disturb your love nest -- "

Eiden laughs, a little bashful with all the sincerity.

" ....ahh, sure. Call me up? Or text - so that I'll catch you guys."

"Dude...that's like, anywhere. Anywhere has trouble...." Sal shook his head, still disagreeing with Eiden's opinion about himself. "But yeah, anyway--- hey! We don't have a love nest. It's not like thaaaat..." He scratched the back of his head and looked away from his friend, trying not to smile.

"Yeah, yeah...I'll talk to Ismael about it and we can like, plan something. We'll see you later, alright? Come here you rascal--" With that, Sal gave Eiden a hug goodbye, and left his friend after a much needed visit.

Veoc feels his resolve crumbling by the minute as the employee details all of the extra features. He thought plushies were just toys—who knew they were creating histories with them too?

"...are there other models besides bears?"

He takes a step closer, foot on the threshold of the store. Beyond it the major general sees a colorful assortment of signs, toys, and even costumes for the furry friends. Veoc is suddenly inspired to make a plush inspired by Eiden—after all, he's pretty fluffy himself, too.

"He would be someone hardworking," he begins, "a little temperamental sometimes, like a cat—but stronger. Kind eyes and...very soft hair."

"Yeah, the types of plushies change with the times of the year. We rotate them out, bring back limited-edition ones...that sort of thing. But like, we usually have at least 20 types in stock at any one time." Sal escorted the potential customer further inside, then glanced back at him.

He figured it might be a little overwhelming for someone that had never shopped for this sort of item before, so he was sympathetic in that regard. "Oh? ...Yeah, we have a few feline options, right over here." He gently motioned for Veoc to follow him; his black bracelets making a pleasant jangling noise as he did so.

They watched the person move around on the thing. It was a board with some wheels on it. Golden eyes watched it be stationary, and then go back and forth. And back and forth. The masked person continued moving on it, and she decided to step out in front of him.

"What is that-" she began to ask, not really considering that the person on the board may not be able to stop at will.

"Hey-- ...HEY!" Sal tried to give the woman a warning, and he'd thought that she'd step to the side at the very least, so when she didn't, he didn't have time to correct himself.

He ended up crashing into the stranger, and falling off of his board and onto the concrete. "...FUCK!" He held his arm, curled up on the ground, wincing and letting out some groans of pain mixed with awkward laughter.

"Well yes, my friend does make his own toys."

"But it's...nothing like these..." He trails off apologetically at the Build-A-Plush employee trying to entice him into the shop.

Somewhere across the city, Veoc is doing his best to Christmas shop for Eiden.

Never having one consistent job, Sal could be found in various places across Spirale depending on the season. So, for the winter season he had taken a part-time job at this Build-A-Plush store. It was pretty fun actually. Helping the customers design and pick out special traits for their plushies and all...

"Well, I don't know what kind of toys your friend makes, but these are pretty special too." Sal held up one of the example teddy bears. "You can like, customize these with their own backstories, scents, voice messages and clothes.....so like...yeah. I'm not being biased just because I work here either. These genuinely make great gifts."
