HELLO TUMBLR AND MY POOR NEGLECTED BLOG. What is of the up?

Things that are new with me:

I've become obsessed with obsidian/x/obsidian and x/obsidian/obsidian dragons

I'm currently making a site for my dragons because I have no life.

I wanted at least 3 points, but my life is kind of boring. I have lots of pretty dragons now? Kind of too many, actually.

Yeah. Hmm.

I have this really pretty halloween imp pair, and the last time they bred the hatchlings were super popular. Maybe I'll do a giveaway someday soon for one of their hatchings? Like a Nightmare Before Christmas giveaway. Who knows. Stay tuned.

Went to look at the current dominance rankings and noticed something kind of amusing (to me, at least, and I’m amused by silly things). All the flights (except Arcane, because we’re rebels like that) are right now paired with their opposite.

We won the first dominance after the beta closed, and the last time we made any kind of a push we were third.

I, personally, don’t have a problem at all with it, but to anyone who still has a problem with exalting hatchlings:

Imagine the gods as like, cosmic babysitters! And they teach the baby hatchlings all sorts of stuff about being dragons and how things work for their respective flights, and what...

I'm in Arcane and I know quite a few of us call our exaltees 'students' or 'graduates'. I think of them going off to study under the tutelage of The Arcanist or helping him out with his work. Which I personally see as quite an honour. The hatchlings just get sent off early to get a head start. So eager!

So here I was, minding my own business, trying to save up for Skydancer scrolls or whatever we’re all doing nowadays, when in the course of an hour or two, two eye-searingly perfect dragons appeared on my dash.

Salience #21633 - Jealousy for the boy and Pride for the girl.

See, my thinking was 'green with envy' for the spiral, but Envy seems like a girl's name to me? So I just tweaked it a bit (even though I know jealousy and envy are different things ;n;). Pride because it's one of the 7 deadly sins along with envy, and 'purple pride' - I like alliteration. 

And I have a theme idea! Nerds. You know the Nerd candy? You used to be able to get them in spilt boxes, half of one colour half of the other. They made me think of those. ...also sorry if I'm too late for this.

I’ve set up my first hatchery, and as a kind gesture to the users who helped me along with cheap/free dragons when I was a newbie, I’m setting up my first give away as well! Not to mention, it’s probably good for business. 

I have three pairs of gened scroll-breed dragons that will be laying clutches within the next 30 days, and this is a give away for one of their reserve spots! That means, you’ll be getting a free gened, scroll-breed hatchling! (Pictures of the pairings are under the cut at the end, due to size)

All you have to do, is reblog this with your username and ID, and which clutch you’d like to reserve a spot from if you win. Contest ends Monday  morning (the 19th).

Rules: 

Likes don’t count, and you can only reblog ONCE. Reblogging more than that does nothing!

You don’t have to follow me, and I recommend you don’t. I post a lot and it isn’t FR related.

You’ll be given first pick unless the clutch you pick has someone who has already paid in full OR someone pays with a boon after you win. 

If you win, I’ll send you and ask on here announcing that + post the win result in the FR tag. If I don’t hear from you within twelve hours, I’ll pick another winner.

Should someone be ahead of you, and there isn’t enough eggs in that clutch, you’ll be given the option of being bumped to another breeding/pairing OR getting 100k treasure instead.

I now have a headcanon.

Gembond is not always a good thing, and is in fact a sort of disease either inherited or transmitted by the bites/venom of Onyx Cobras. Besides the obvious gems, there are few other side-effects, and even those are very bothersome, because as years go by, the gems become larger and—if not removed/cut down regularly—they begin to inhibit movement.
