I don’t have much to say but I’ll give a little info on their relationship

When Cove ran away from his family on the top floor of the machine, he lived on the streets of the bottom floor for a while. Everyone was scared of him because they didn’t want to get involved with the LaRue family (Coves family) so no one would help him… until Verne came alongggg 🤭

Verne has a reputation of helping anyone and everyone (he took Leonie in when no one else would as well)

So he let Cove move in with him for however long he needed, and I think you can tell where that went lol

Hello! Here is the follow up to my last post!

And then the funniest frames from the video

From left to right the characters names are Jude, Leonie, Verne, and Cove. As you can probably tell Jude and Leonie are siblings, and Verne and Cove are dating.

I’m gonna trying my best to give context to the setting but it’s gonna be a tad difficult lmao

So, this story takes place in a fictional world on an island. The siblings are from a small town on the coast of this island. Underneath the island is a giant machine built by the original people of the island. It was built because they believed one day monsters would invade the island and they’d need a place to hide, so the machine is like a bunker of sorts. They also put traps around to catch the monsters and baited them with gold as they believed the monsters were driven by greed.

There’s a long history of how so many people got stuck in the Machine but I’ll stop it here.

SO Leonie fell into one of the these traps hundreds of years later and discovers there’s a whole society below their feet. She got betrayed by her brother so that’s why she is very pissed in the video (she also hates Cove, but she does kinda just hate everybody) Verne took her in as she was only 14 years old and no one else wanted anything to do with her.

12 years later Jude also falls in because he’s an idiot (and depressed and wants to get away from his life) but he does leave his PREGNANT WIFE, SICK MOTHER, AND YOUNGER BROTHER to fend for themselves… anyway he kinda sucks but he’s unfortunately one of the main characters.

Verne feels other people’s emotions very deeply leading to him wanting to help and “fix” people, and that’s basically what he did with all of these people lol he helped Jude begrudgingly since Leonie was his baby first and will always take her side, but he couldn’t help himself after seeing how pathetic Jude was. And then Cove ran away from his family after they arranged a marriage for him. Verne let him live with him and then they end up falling for each other (Cove is lying to him about something but shhh let them be happy rn 😭)

Well, all that to say is what they are doing is waiting for the elevator that takes you to and from the different levels of the Machine (think of like a train station or bus stop)

Geez this has gotten out of hand lmao I’m not even sure what I’ve said so far. Well, I will gladly answer any questions you have and tysm for reading!

Here’s my little darlings!!!

For starters Nightingale/Gale is the one on the left and Cardinal is on the right (these names aren’t their original names but they were given to them after signing a contract, which is “for their protection” or so the company, aka the Family, says.)

Some more important information: Cardinals are stagehands/assistants, Pheasants are actors, and Nightingale is a unique name for the radio host so the name gets passed down and there’s only one Nightingale at a time.

These two met in the family when they were 16 and 17 (Cardinal being a year older), Gale at the time had just become a Pheasant and Cardinal had also just become a Cardinal, so they became close pretty quickly being the only people in that space that age.

If you look at the back you can see some easter eggs for the time this is taking place. Gale just became Nightingale and this is really when their relationship peaked. They were both so happy (well as happy as they could be lmao) and Gale had insisted that Cardinal be his personal assistant so they also practically got a promotion.

Unfortunately later down the line Gale started to become less and less like himself as the Nightingale persona got to his head. He started bossing Cardinal around more and also started pulling away as he was scared what would happen if anyone caught them (a rule once you get a unique name is you aren’t allowed to date as to avoid any controversy with the fans). At a certain point Cardinal gets fed up and that’s where the actual story starts.

They have an odd relationship that I don’t even know how to explain lol. They never really have a label on them but they are practically inseparable since they met and neither of them would EVER date anyone else.

Omg this looks terrifying 😭 anyway

I have a love hate relationship with these, part of me hates them and never wants to look at them again and part of me thinks they’re fine.

My favorites are Hasu and Shazi, Hasu and Tadg, and kinda just Yasha on his own lol

I think it’s really funny how it turned out Cecily and Yasha had to have one together as they have never really interacted lol but I do like that one too

Ok so I was kinda getting sick of this project by this point since I actually drew these after the faces and you might be able to tell I was rushing it a little bit lol

I’m pretty neutral on all of these though my first place is definitely Tadg solely because of Toadles in his bag lmao

I was still enjoying myself during these but I did start to realize what I had actually gotten myself into lmao these took awhile (especially in the beginning when I was trying to figure out the anatomy)

My favorites of these are probably Hasu, Shazi, and Yasha

Honorable mention is Cecily, I feel like I got her personality across well :)

I loved deciding what emotions to give them and like how they hold themselves. I think you can tell I got better as it went on, they are in order of when I drew them lol

I’m sorry but there are spoilers for TTG in this part (I’m not going to talk about them but if you’ve read it you probably know what it is)

Ok first is the hands

This was the beginning of the project and we went in so full of joy and motivation, that changes later… I think I also knocked these out in 1 to 2 days 😭

I had the time of my life making these (tho I am also a freak who enjoys drawing hands) it was so fun to decide what makes their hands stand out from each other. I wanted to try to give the same vibe as the Yaelokre style and it was really refreshing to break away from my normal for a bit (tho I do miss my style now)

My personal favorites were Tadg (I really liked drawing his marks and I think they turned out really good), and Cecily (idrk why but I just generally like overall how hers turned out) but I genuinely liked all of these ones.

Idk if anyone cares about this anymore but would anyone want me to post the unreleased chapters of the sleepless downpour?

It’s so old now and at this point I would change so much about it that it’s not worth continuing in my mind. That being said I still have a soft spot for it since it was my first fic ever and I want to give it a good send off (plus it has so many hits and kudos now I feel like it’s only fair)

There are a little under 5 chapters that I didn’t release but they were never fully edited and I don’t think I have it in me to go through it all again 😭 so if I were to post them it would be in their unfinished form, along with there being some inconsistencies as I changed a plot point half way through.

So
