i wasn’t sure how to feel about audrian but after he essentially hunted yasha like an animal and then shot him down from above with a spear of light and left him for dead in a pool of his own blood i’m definitely mad at him

started rereading wilderlore and im currently on book two and god i forgot how lowkey funny audrian’s interactions with runa and cyril are. This should not be happening. Both of your former best friends are standing there chatting with u but they’re too busy glaring daggers at each other to notice you’re you.

Like, the book literally describes runa as looking at edwyn like she’s trying to figure out if she knows him or not before he introduces himself. It’s hilarious.

not to mention that it’s runa, cyril, and edwyn that go out looking for the isle of roane when the apprentices claim to have found it. like… what would have happened if the grand three HAD found it??? Would audrian have waited a little longer before revealing himself, or would he have out and killed runa and cyril?

I understand that there’s a tragic aspect to Audrian’s character but why does no one ever talk about just how…creepy he is?

Like, he’s completely obsessed with Barclay to the point where he emotionally neglects his own apprentice who’s basically his adoptive son. He STALKED Barclay during the majority of Ever Storms, he was quite literally living in his walls and watching him while Barclay had no idea. He used invisibility lore to more easily observe him. He wrote a secret letter to him expressing how much he was looking forward to seeing him again.

In Traitor’s Gambit he knew damn well that Barclay was a spy from the get go but he STILL did this whole song and dance in manipulating Barclay into believing he was this sympathetic, misunderstood underdog. And the messed up part is that it almost WORKED like we actually see Barclay start to defend Audrian in some of his thoughts.

He has been stalking and obsessing over Barclay for almost five years just because they both happen to have the same Special Protagonist Lore TM. I’m not saying check this man’s hard drive but like. Seriously what the hell is wrong with him and why does no one ever point it out.

Something I just realized is that, if Audrian were to be captured and brought to trial alive, he would never get the death penalty. He is simply too powerful for the Guild to permanently get rid of him. Especially because of how powerful his healing lore is.

He was close enough to death that Runa and Cyril literally thought he was dead. They probably touched him to check for signs of life (which is something that would logically be part of their training as guardians, seeing as they are usually the first responders in a lot of situations). Do you know how close to death you have to be for a first responder to not realize you're alive? Very. Not to mention that Audrian healed himself WHILE FULLY UNCONSCIOUS, and when he was 17 (he would've only had Lira for 2 years btw, and he was practicing without a mentor for that time.) Plus we also saw him un-drown Tadg in TWT.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if the Guild got rid of all of Audrian's beasts, except Lira. Because having someone who has healing lore that is powerful enough to bring anyone, including themselves, back from the brink of death is extremely helpful in so many ways.
