The fact that some of you are still interpreting Jax as transmasc proves that you can, in fact, relate to transfem struggles and that we aren't all that different from each other. Our struggles aren't different from each other, they just have different contexts.

as a trans man, transfem jax is still important to me. you do not need to be the exact same “type” of trans to relate to a trans character. if anything her being transfem is MORE important to me because reflects her transness being based in repression, and as a repressed trans person, I need a character like that to relate to. I need a character who is also scared. also trying to forget about it. also embarrassed when viewed as their true self. if she was transmasc it would mean she had transitioned and was a-okay. I’m sick of a-okay. I’m not a-okay. I need to know I’m not alone.
