all franziska can think about is how much her annoying foolish friends would get along with maya. possibly, better than her. she can be quite cold sometimes, and doesn't always know what to say. she knows she isn't the most fun to be around sometimes.
and then one day, this insecurity-- no, franziska doesn't HAVE insecurities, it's just a foolish thought, that's all-- gives her a realization. maybe if she pawns her friends onto miss maya fey, who is presumably doing nothing but following mr. phoenix wright around on errands anyway, she might finally get a moment of peace and get a proper chance to review her cases today.
she does not know how wrong she is!!! today, all three of them come to her office. they have even brought fast "food", courtesy of maya. why would franziska von karma ever eat a burger and fries from such a lowly establishment? the three of them are even louder somehow. nothing will get done today. not like she wanted maya to see any of the case details, she works with the enemy after all.
she begrudgingly goes with them to kay's place. maya is trying to get franziska to watch the steel samurai. she already told her how many times she had no intention to watch it? it's bad enough her little brother always took the tv for himself to watch it. now kay is chiming in?! even ema?! she has no idea what any of them are talking about. of course she has to watch.
franziska does NOT like the steel samurai. frankly, global studios shouldn't even have the right to exist if they're churning out this garbage all day. why did adrian torture herself for that company again?! she is still stuck on the couch, sandwiched between maya and ema while kay has parked herself between the wall and the top of the couch-- why not just the armchair to the right of them?! by the end of the night, the steel samurai theme is stuck in her head. the next day, she recognizes it as ema's ringtone.
kay and ema really want to see maya channel a spirit. it just doesn't work that way! maya can't just summon whoever! maybe she could reach out to mia... maybe ema might like to talk to her about lana's college days? franziska has to remind them all that they are in a busy ramen restaurant, and it would be improper to summon a ghost in public. just how did maya convince her to come out for noodles? franziska von karma would never settle for ramen this cheap!
on top of kay and ema, maya is now in the group chat. franziska is still the same, silently reading whatever her immature friends are rambling about, and responding once in a blue moon. they're talking about that samurai show again, and maya drops a take so terrible that franziska has no choice to respond with an entire paragraph about why she's wrong. "so you HAVE been watching :D" "No." franziska ignores the group chat for the rest of the week.
