Even the designer of the Confederate flag knew it was racist

Not sure if the Confederate flag stands for white supremacy? Syracuse University historian Jonathan Wilson, who studies antebellum American literature, tracked down the meaning of the flag as described by its designer, William Thompson. Hopefully this will change the tired old defense of the flag.
