If there's one thing Ink knows how to do like a normal person it's being supportive of the arts ♡

I think that Dream's power makes it hard for him to "do" emotions like anyone else. Focus on "your" emotions doesn't really mean anything if your emotions are also everyone else's emotions. What are "you" feeling when surrounded by 100 people feeling completely differing emotions doesn't particularly have any significance. It doesn't matter what you're feeling, there's 100 people you also have the emotions of. That's why Dream focusing on other people's emotions instead of his own kind of is the best option for him. It's way easier to get everyone around you to be happy, for you to also be happy. It's also why he leaves to be completely alone when he's upset and wants to concentrate on those feelings (like we see in the Color comic). He doesn't WANT other people around him when he's upset because he CAN'T process those emotions if someone else's is getting in the way!!

Not mentioned much here, but Ink and his Doodlesphere are very helpful for Dream in this capacity. Because it's just Ink, and he can control his emotions, he can effectively just control what Dream is feeling too, and Dream can also influence Ink's emotions through his aura (in my universe where I allow their powers to affect each other)

The Doodlesphere is also in the centre of it all so all the emotions become a much more pleasant background noise. It's very peaceful for Dream there, though nothing truly lets him escape feeling the broad stokes of universe's emotions. He would still be able to tell if something terrible was happening somewhere.

Suffocating Part 2 of 2 PART 1

Nari gets a fancy fish feast afterwards~

Despite the Lamb being adverse to touch, they try to help Nari physically when he needs it. Especially early on when he first gets into the cult. Other than grounding techniques, he's basically forced to go through physical therapy for his legs. And of course the Lamb helps him with balance and all.

I love my lil traumatized kitty.

They rub their hand across the scar softly, stroking it to try and soothe. Lamb: Then I'm going to touch your arm and gently rub it. Image 7: The Lamb lays right beside Narinder while rubbing Narinder's scar. Narinder's eyebrows raise and his hand twitches, slowly coming back. Lamb: I promise I am right here with you. And I will wait with you while this passes. Take all the time you need. Image 8: A close shot of the Lamb's front view. The light of the night shines behind them. Their eyes shine as they smile at Narinder. Lamb: And hey. You don't have to do it, but try to match me. And do what I do. It'll help a lot. Just do your best. Image 9: The Lamb's expression softens more as they start to inhale and exhale slowly, taking deep breaths as they continue to rub Narinder's arm. Image 10: A close up shot of Narinder as they stare at the Lamb. Light shows back in his teary eyes as he slowly comes out of his disassociation. Realized that I haven't posted much angst so here~

His claustrophobia sucks so much bc if he gets stuck in anything he will panic - and understandably so. OH and did you know that the SPECIFIC phobia for being bound, restrained and or tied up is called Merinthophobia? Just found out while typing this. Sticking with claustrophobia for my nari.

If it wasn't obvious, you know how a cat's nails can get stuck in fabric and other stuff? His claws got stuck in the blanket while he was panicking.

Image 12: Narinder's eye is the only thing shown through the twisted fabric of the blanket. Tears well up in his eye, drawn to be cloudy. Narinder's face holds no expression as he disassociates. Next wip I'm throwing out unfinished to lower pressure! Narinder's arrival. He was wiped out by colors and sounds and smells and left with 0 will to fight for days. No talking, dazed and mellow. Hiding in the dark a lot, coming out at night to sit and watch the sunsets. He even let the Lamb care for him. Lambie didn't even get to be mad at him.

I really wanted to make this one polished, I'm very much not happy with it. Oh well. I wanted this bit of lore out anyway.
