The year I attended a John Carpenter concert
Reading in my 30s has devolved into the odd one off book every once in awhile & how to guides on the internet to fix stuff I’d rather not pay for
It’s not great, but I’m slowly learning how to use these stupid digital brushes
A few pictures from the Desert Of Maine. I had fun crawling across the sand.
My Friday The 13th part 8 bust unmasked
The finished Friday The 13th bust from Crystal Lake Industries that is enroute to me.
Having a blast knocking out my stream thumbnails.
A brief demonstration of my part 4 Nightmare on Elm Street glove made by Dark Dream Design
Some of my horror trinkets I’ve collected over the past few months. The total of all of this together is roughly $1000.
Pictures of my Toxic Hero 8 from Crystal Lake Industries
A few shots of my poster mask F13th part 8 I bought from Crystal Lake Industries
My Jason part 8 costume is almost complete. I’ve just got to shred the parts that remain & wet the rest of it. The mask I’m wearing is fine but to be safe I ordered Crystal Lake Industries curved Hero 8 to fit closer to the face like the plastic one.
Heathers (1988)
I laughed so hard when I heard this line in the movie.
Heathers (1988)
I never knew the Dick Van Dyke show was revisited in 2004? The episode makes me feel uncomfortable as it’s a comedy & since 2 Of the stars are dead(Mory Amsterdam as Buddy Sorrell & Richard Deacon as Mel Cooley) its hard to hear their names passed over as characters that’s funerals were attended to. I think it might be because a comedy usually is for laughs & a reunion comedy show rarely lends itself to the seriousness & tragedy of that loss in the case of the Dick Van Dyke show.
The Andy Griffith show however got a reunion movie(Return To Mayberry)& I feel it fared better since more of the central cast & supporting characters were still alive(& returned)at that point(Hal Smith,Howard Morris,Griffith,Ron Howard,Denver Pyle,Nabors,George Lindsey,Jack Dodson etc etc) I feel AGS had more to say about characters, emotion, family & friendship so it was able to overcome the hurdle into a revival. As much as I love the Dick Van Dyke show it was more a situational comedy with rapid fire jokes which usually stripped away any chance to escape the loss of its previous cast members. No amount of jokes can bury the absence you feel watching it.
I decided to hang up my Tommy Lee Wallace Halloween 3 Autograph poster next to my Nick Castle Autograph.
I managed to pick up another 235 cards to add to my growing(& rather expensive) Twilight Zone trading cards(series 2,3,4) the seller threw in a bunch of nice extras like a chunk of the challenge cards, star chase cards, commemorative inserts, checklists & 2 Autograph cards for series 4. The price of the 2 Autograph cards is the sum total of my purchase & triple the value of what I paid.
