This was the comment that was left on Beyond the Pine 30 from Steven. Thought I should post this here just because I think it’s good to read.

Holy hell that one part was really….rough to watch. It almost felt like when you’re at your friends house and your friend and their mom start to go at each other’s necks. I mean they did keep this in though so it was meant to stay. 

The whole chat about empathy, narcissism, it didn’t really shock me, sure, I thought it was played up to a higher degree in Alternative Lifestyle as you know most shows do. Though this kinda just rubbed me the wrong way. I don’t know what that will do for Sugar Pine 7 in the future if one of the members is just being the worst. If this will create issues in a sense of them moving forward…that’s rough then.

Though this all through me back to a early video on the channel called “Draw My Life” when at the end Steven talked about how he basically bullied other people to get good reactions out of others, though later learning what he was doing was not fun and well terrible. Where did that all go? 

I know people on Reddit and YouTube comments are going to try and diagnose him. I’m not trying to do that. I am speaking from a person watching the content. I am no doctor, I am no psychiatrist. This is something he will have to figure out on his own time.

Also because I want to add some stuff that I left out: No, I don’t think this is the final of Sugar Pine 7. They are still all great friends who want to work together. Another thing is yes it wasn’t a fight at all or a yelling match, I didn’t mean to make it sound like I was hyping up some terrible thing. Finally, they left that part in for a reason and it’s not the first time Steven or anyone else has said something personal or talked about personal stuff. They left it in for a reason and that’s fine! It’s up to anyone to personally think what they want of him, I don’t know him. I just see what’s going on when they upload and from my stand point of that from this and another podcast (I think it was the Logan Paul one) just...yeah.

Wait what happened in the new beyond the pine? Did Steven like, flip his shit on someone? I know he's kind of been an asshole here and there but I always thought it was just acting for sp7.

I would say just watch the episode to get a feel. I had to rewatch it a few times tbh because no one was blowing up or anything it’s just them having you know talks you have with your friends. Pretty much though Steve was talking about how he doesn’t really have empathy to others and his friends (to be quite honest he could have played that up who knows) and James and Cib brought up him being a sociopath. They all vented about personal experiences they didn’t like what he did or said and Steven was at least listening and he wanted to see how to fix that. Again, it’s not like they were at each other’s throats though when you first watch it you kind of wonder where it was all heading.

Why is RTX So Expensive?

So I was reading around Twitter as one does and came across an AMA for RTX this year. I clicked on it to see it was showing the prices of this year’s RTX badges that are for 2018 in Austin Texas. As most people probably had the similar reaction of their eyes coming out of their head when you say the price for a three day badge. Didn’t see it? Here it is:

This blows my mind. This really blows my mind to think Rooster Teeth can charge this much money for a 3 DAY PASS. This is NOT VIP. This is a regular 3 day pass. One that they have charged in the past for $90.00 or even probably $80.00 even before that. 

You can knock off the exclusive bag and lanyard, everyone is going to get those who buy one that will be full of advertisements for the most part, and a lanyard you’ll barley look at. 1 autograph code too, which is a joke in itself. 

Why are they charging this much? What’s going on? 

Well you might be saying, “COMIC CON CAN DO IT, AND SO CAN PAX! WHY CAN’T RTX?” 

Comic Con is it’s own headass deal and you don’t even need a badge to have fun. PAX sucks and will forever be shit. RTX is actually a great convention (for the most part) and they even said this time they will be bringing more than one metal detector. 

The Early Bird only means you have to spend MORE money to get a double gold membership, where they ship out junky lootboxes full of like an arm band and maybe a postcard, and more ads to even get a discount on your badge. 

If you can afford it, go have a blast. Though to me they are really draining out the community’s cash with $110.00 cost of a badge for a bag, a card, a singular code, and hopefully some good memories that can come. Oh and don’t forget to rack up hotel prices and travel! Did you want to buy food? Merch from the store? Oh geez that’s such a laugh.

Yeah I just watched that most recent episode. It amazes me in some way how they are so open about talking about their bussiness and even Rooster Teeth. Part of me thinks they shouldn’t say all that, the other part of me is like go off! I mean they got a right to. 

Sucks they got duped like that though, feel like they are a more popular bunch too. 

Also because you asked in the other ask you sent about the episode name, it was 20, though also 18 I believe. The theme for a lot of these episode I’ve been in this “season” was complete salt.

CCTV Beef

Let me first off say this: I’m not that huge on Cow Chop. Triggered memes, transphobia, fatphobia, etc. is all in there videos and I don’t approve. I’m saying this because I know I’ll get asks about it later that I’m backtracking 

ANYWAY

What the FUCK even is CCTV. WHAT THE FUCK DID I WALK INTO! This is literally so fucking unfiltered. Not in a XD TRIGGERED YOU type of way. The way of being so real with the audience that they are poor fucks making YouTube videos and trying to get by. That the Let’s Play “Family” is bullshit. 

I couldn’t believe how much they were just saying about their other coworkers in Austin. That the Let’s Play Family Reunion was truly a piece of shit everyone knows it to be. Unlike Achievement Hunter being like “XD WE WERE CRAZY!! WE THREW A CHAIR IN THE POOL! WE ARE SO OUT OF OUR MINDS!” Like...ok.....cool....no one cares. Everyone knows it was over-hyped garbage and Cow Chop agrees. Which is great to see some self aware people here. 

I love that CCTV is serious salt and it’s fucking great. I really hope they don’t stop because I will watch it to hear the drama and the bullshit that goes on.

Rooster Teeth Updates

So Barbara put out a journal on the Rooster Teeth site talking about issues that they will fix in 2018. A lot addressed was issues I thought about too. Glad to hear after so many people had problems with the store, that they will be fixing that. 

Though I was interested to see people were talking about ad reads. And yeah, I gotta agree. It’s so like urgh feeling when the host goes in the middle of a conversation “Let me read this”. Then they go on to talk about the product more afterwards, and interrupts more of the points. That’s annoying. I’m interested to see what they will do to change that, I would have figured it would be shot down since that’s a source of income for Rooster Teeth. (yes besides merch and RTX I know I watched that Burnie Vlog). Maybe they will be prerecorded and added in during the middle, that I would like to see. 

As far as the website......I’m really interested to see what they will do....been a fucking long time coming get that shit together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Don’t do it. She is 12 going through something that is very hard. She should not have to deal with adults prying into something that is already very hard and upsetting for her. I feel like this should go without saying but people have already done it on Twitter and on Instagram (seriously whoever put “have fun with two Christmas’s” fuck you. You’re an asshole). Millie is a child. Just because this is in the public eye does not give you permission to ask her questions, make fun of her, or otherwise be a dickhead to her. Leave her alone. They’re Lesbians, Miles

It’s the episode and character that’s been building up since god knows when! RWBY can finally say they have a LGBT character, Ilia. In volume 5 episode 8, RWBY has hardcore SAID Ilia is gay and had a crush on Blake. 

If anyone thinks this shit is just platonic, you need to wipe your eyes. 

I didn’t think this volume there would be a LGBT character, I even wrote on my blog saying it probably won’t happen and I was pretty much proven wrong. But this does make me think what will go on after this. Makes me wonder since now we all see the CRWBY isn’t shy as to adding one in. 

For all those who are pissed that this is RWBY is “trying to hard to be exclusive” or “it’s another LGBT trope”…..shut the hell up…..you’re really too whiny…

First off with “trying to hard to be exclusive” they aren’t trying hard to do anything. RT knows their audience are of many kinds of people. They have a fucking rainbow flag shirt in their store, have many of LBGTQ+ people in the company, etc. They aren’t trying to prove anything and it shouldn’t be. If you see that for whatever reason you’re trying to hard to make this seem like a negative shut the fuck up. 

With the whole trope shit I mean yeah it’s sadly going to happen. I personally don’t have a pocket book of every single LGBTQ+ handy to see which is happening and which is not. I know people are going to complain about it though so it’s whatever to me, lol. 

Anyway yeah cool RWBY character Ilia confirmed gay! Which is honestly really great, I hope they do her good and I hope even more we see other LGBTQ+ cast.
