Working in the mental health space give you an interesting perspective. Do I think that most people would benefit from some manner of counseling/therapy? Yes. Do I think that it can sometime take multiple attempts to find someone who works best for your needs? Also yes.

Here's a curve ball. Do I also think it's within a therapist or counselors scope to fire a client? 100%. It is totally rational for therapist and counselors to not like a patient. You can't just walk into my office, sit down, and spout the most vitriolic bullshit imaginable and just expect me to be quiet. I'm not going to by my most therapeutic self while talking with someone who I am diametrically opposed to. I'm here to help you develop coping skills and strategies to help you work through whatever it is you need to work through; not to be a doormat for you to just talk to about whatever the hell you want.

I really like both Marathon and Destiny, and the discourse between the two right now makes it really hard to enjoy either of them to their fullest. Yes, I've been playing Destiny since the beta in 2014, and I've logged thousands of hours in that universe. I also really like Marathon. I love the original games, as dated as they are now, and I'm a sucker for a good extraction shooter. It's a shame that the community right now is in such shambles.

I get being mad about Destiny being shuttered, I really do, but hating on Marathon isn't the play here. If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the leadership at Bungie and the Execs at Sony.

Finally finished reading/listening to the Horus Heresy and the Siege of Terra, and while some of the books definitely leave something to be desired (like almost every book that has to do with the Ultramarines), it is easily some of the best writing I've ever read.

If I had a nickel for every time one of my D&D players ended up inhabited by an eldritch being beyond their comprehension I'd have... a lot of nickels.
