Did someone say "Kiyu doodle request"???
This might be my furthest-from-canon design, but maybe you see the vision???
I tried to make her more distinct from Yuki, so the pink is both cooler-toned and darker. She's also way paler.
Her lips are blue-ish, because she's a ghoul.... yk. Undead
Scars all over. I don't think she's as good with a blade as Yuki is. Or maybe Yuki is the cause? I don't know much of their history, but I can't imagine it wasn't a little rocky. From my very limited knowledge of Kiyu, I picture her as throwing herself on the front-lines when it comes to dangerous people (hence why she was the lead for the main characters in TS).
For fashion, I have Yuki as being very... ballet, Lana, coquette, preppy, it girl -core. Just very trendy and romantic. So for contrast, I dressed Kiyu very alternative. Maybe pastel gothic? Very 2010s Tumblr-esque.
Moles! Square face! Originally was gonna have her as being very sharp and vertical to contrast with Yuki (who I give soft features to), but I have Chan's design to already fill that role. So I still gave her a sharp edge, but in a different direction. Blocky. Formidable. Tough.
Bow motif!!! I love how so many designs in YHS have bows (Ellen and Yuki, specifically! So I made it a point that their ribbon bows are sort of a nod to Yakuza heritage/connections) but I wanted Kiyu's bows to be sorta different. Instead of having the big tacky red-and-white bows, I emphasized the contrast between black-and-white instead for accessories; where the bow takes on the black, as it's the dominant color, and the white is hardly seen.
For hair design... See below. I combined the shaggy wolf-cut with the pigtails LOL.
This was fun! I've never drawn Kiyu before... well, I have, but it was for a TS x YHS MHA AU I made in middle school... So this was interesting to do. I hope she's still somewhat recognizable :-)
