She wasn’t supposed to be out right now. The funeral director was meeting her today and she had a doctor’s appointment to check up on how she was doing since the accident. But by no means was Samantha able to deal with any of that right now. Truthfully, she just wanted to pick up and go and never come back to Portchester. But she didn’t get too far when she tried to run. Instead, she found herself on the dock — in the best spot there was with the most gorgeous views. Just standing here, hood up and a puffed up face from crying so much. As much as she wanted to run, she couldn’t, so she ended here with no clue what do next.
— ( hana choe. )
“No, no—-” Hana wasn’t quick enough this time, months passing since she had managed to distance herself from the Monday night divorce club, members comprising of divorcees such as him. Desperately lonely and grieving over the breakdown of his marriage almost ten years ago, Louis had already begun welling up and telling the woman how much he had missed her. Unsurprisingly the feeling wasn’t mutual and while he was harmless, Hana stood stiffened as the air was squeezed out of her lungs. “I’m not a chew toy—” She squeaked, dark eyes finding the nearest person and mouthing the words ‘help me’ in their direction.
She really didn’t want to be out right now. Samantha had every reason in the world to stay cooped up inside for the rest of her life. After all, the funeral hadn’t even happened yet as arrangements were still being made for both parties. But here she was, trying to distract herself as best as she could. She was dressed in sweats, a hood over head, messy hair and no make up. It was hardly an outfit to be worn in public but did that stop her? No. And as soon as she noticed Hana, who she was out here for, being hugged by Louis — the divorcee who never stopped crying — she quickly ran over to her to save here. “Alright, my turn. Hana’s mine for the night, sorry Louis. Much needed girl time—which means you’re not invited. But you know what? There was someone over there asking for you, so why don’t you go to them? I think they got you a a drink.”
