things about Kai Parker that no-one talks about
↠ He spends twenty years in isolation, and is then blamed for being crazy.
↠ He is outcast, isolated and frankly, treated like shit his entire life for being a siphoner and then blamed for snapping.
↠ He has no idea how anything works, he missed 20 years of modern day technology development and political change.
↠ He was sent to the Prison World at age 22. I don’t care what anyone says, he was practically still a child.
↠ He was clearly abused both mentally and (judging by his fathers attitude) most likely physically abused for the way he was born, as if siphoning was his fault.
↠ He was raised with the knowledge that he was born to die for Jo, because he wasn’t as strong as her.
↠ He probably had a pet that he never got to say goodbye to.
↠ Any friends/associates he had would have aged and left him behind.
↠ He was raised in a family that hated him.
↠ He was always in his sister’s shadow for a nature he couldn’t change.
↠ I don’t care what anyone says, he clearly states that he had a ‘soft spot’ for one of his sisters, indicating he had feelings.
↠ He always had fucking feelings, and he was treated like they didn’t matter.
↠ Nobody would listen to him or help him.
↠ Nobody helps him adjust to modern life.
↠ He blatantly tried to help Bonnie, even if for selfish & confused reasons, by trying to kill Damon. He could’ve just siphoned her magic, slit her throat for the Bennett blood and left them both, he didn’t.
↠ He didn’t ever want to leave them there in the first place, because he knew how bad it was.
↠ He completed a fucking crossword and left a treasure trial. Low-key adorable.
↠ He was condemned for who he was after being born to die and refusing that fate.
↠ He was always made to feel like a burden of the family.
↠ Despite having a ‘soft spot’ for his sister, clearly showing he had emotions, he was always going to be the ‘bad child’.
↠ He was named ‘Malachai’ and acknowledged that everyone thought he was evil. Imagine being raised as ‘the evil child’ and then having to suffer for what they made you.
↠ He tried so fucking hard so apologise to everyone, and get what he wanted without hurting anyone. ALL HE WANTED WAS FORGIVENESS.
↠ Nobody made being good worth his while, so why should he be?
↠ I know he did bad stuff, I’m not saying the fact that he stabbed Jo and whatnot is okay, but you can clearly see that the person he is, isn’t who he wants to be.
If you ever have the nerve to tell me that Kai Parker is anything but a victim we cannot be friends.
He was a child, condemned to a life sentence of pain and suffering for crimes that were not his fault.
