🎁 SamGoSingO Journals - The Gift That Makes No Sense (Entry #18)
Status: Mysteriously confident, but absolutely committed.
Today started out like any other day. However, it quickly took a turn the moment I had an idea. I was looking around the room, engaging in important tasks, thinking, observing, existing.
Then, I noticed something.
There were random objects scattered about: a rubber duck on the floor, a paperclip on the table, and a moldy sandwich that I had definitely forgotten about.
Suddenly, my brain sparked with the thought, “What if this isn’t random? What if this is a message, a symbol, or even a gift?”
Yes, I had officially unlocked genius mode.
🛠️ SECTION 2: THE CREATION
I carefully gathered the items as if I were building something historic.
Step one: I placed a paperclip onto the duck. Why? Because it felt right.
Step two: I balanced a sandwich on top. This was tricky; it required skill.
It fell three times, but that wasn’t a failure; it was just part of the testing process. Eventually, it stayed in place.
And when it did, I simply stood there, staring at it.
It didn’t make sense, but it felt important, like one of those moments when people say, “Whoa... that’s deep.”
I didn’t know why it felt profound, but I knew it was.
🎯 SECTION 3: THE PRESENTATION
I needed someone worthy of receiving this masterpiece.
Naturally, I chose Tsuki.
I walked up slowly, making it dramatic, and held the gift out with both hands.
“This is for you,” I said.
He looked at the gift, then at me, and then back at the gift again.
There was a long silence.
“...Mikey,” he said, “what am I looking at?”
He was already deep in thought.
🗣️ SECTION 4: THE EXPLANATION
This was the moment I had to explain it. The problem was, I didn’t actually know what it meant yet.
So, I did what any genius would do: I made it up.
“Okay,” I said, pointing, “the duck represents determination.”
“The paperclip represents connection.”
“And the sandwich represents... hunger.”
I paused for effect. “...for success.” Yeah, that one hit home.
I crossed my arms, as if I had just said something life-changing.
Tsuki blinked slowly. “...It’s rotten.”
I nodded. “That’s the point.”
🤨 SECTION 5: THE CROWD REACTION
At that moment, everyone began to gather around.
It made sense; important things attract attention.
Coney looked immediately nervous. “Is that... safe?” he asked.
I replied, “Emotionally? Yes.”
Ravzol leaned in, nodded, and said, “Okay, wait... this has some serious vibes.”
I wasn’t entirely sure what he meant, but it sounded like a sign of respect.
Suddenly, Erebus appeared out of nowhere, stared at the object for a few seconds, and commented, “This object reflects the fragile illusion of meaning in a chaotic existence.”
I froze, then slowly nodded. “Yes,” I said. “Exactly what I was going for.”
Now, everyone was looking at it as if it belonged in a museum, which, to be fair, it probably does.
🧍 SECTION 6: THE TRUTH & FINAL THOUGHTS
Alright, let's have a real conversation.
I have no idea what this gift truly means. None. Zero. Not even a little bit.
But here’s the strange part: nobody else fully understands it either. And somehow, that makes it feel even more significant.
Tsuki carefully placed it on a table, treating it as if it were valuable. After that, no one touched it. It just sat there, mysterious, powerful, and confusing.
So, yes, I may not fully comprehend what I created, but I definitely created something. And honestly? That’s enough.
