Taking Back Thursday: (An Amalgam universe story)

Two wandering souls, Kevin and Rose Queensland have one goal: to find a home. Kevin: a strange child from the woods, clung to by shadow and cursed with terrible strength, teeth sharpened to fangs by the hunger in his soul.

Rose: a bright, inquisitive girl, failed by everybody in her life but the strange boy she found in those woods, whose dreams of a future can't be dimmed, no matter how deep the shadows grow.

The path to the Crossroads is beset on all sides by danger, and the truth threatens to tear the two apart, the grand culmination of a plan centuries in the making.

And one promise, forged in fire and tested by blood:

You and me. No matter what.

Skypiercer: my weird sci-fi setting, Skypiercer is about a world of spaceships, ringworlds, and is the home of the other more episodic thing I've got in the background, RED DUST, set on the wasteland world of Dust, where gemstone-fueled mech cowboys fight their way through magnetic storms. (Tags: Skypiercer, Dust, Red Dust, Null Firestorm) Same with Amalgam, feel free to ask about whatever.

The Laughing Lands: more of a bit-focused thing, Clown Dark Fantasy. Don't expect this one to get a lot of actual arcs or stories, it's mostly an excuse to draw serious clown knights use looney tunes powers to punch dark souls monsters.

like I actively dislike coffeeshop AUs as a concept most of the time but every time Susie goes through a rough one it's like you know what maybe they have a point maybe she deserves a life where nothing bad ever happens and she gets to drink a weird protein infused latte and eat a horrifying abomination of a sandwich order and everything is Fine maybe it's fine to dream of a world where the worst thing that could happen can't possibly break you. What I'm saying is that I would 100% make the same choices Susie is making and that just makes it hit more

new goal in life: harness the rapid oscillation of my sense of self worth into a new form of engine. Like yeah I spend one minute thinking I'm basically pond slime and the next convinced I'm going to be the god of the new world *but* have you considered I'm using that to power a radical new form of mood-swing powered motorcycle

Seeing a mutual's post end up on a minecraft parkour voiceover youtube short has made me keenly aware that I am always potentially one killer joke from hearing some guy read my post with the most wild possible inflection possible, like, imagine logging into youtube and finding out that somebody reading your posts presumes you sound like a Rick and Morty character, and you just have to live with that knowledge forever now. Like you'll be 90 years old looking back at your life and you get hit by the flashbang that part of your legacy is that some percentage of the population knows you solely through a clip where you sound like the burger king foot lettuce guy
