Savelina, is a tragic figure, that has been greatly misunderstood by creatures above and below the waves.
  The last known Cecaelia (a human/octopus hybrid) left in existence, myths and legends she is the daughter of Fe’e (Samoan God of War) and a mortal Samoan woman. Tied to the sea, just as her father Savelina become a powerful Sea Witch controlling the weather, wind and waves through Witchcraft. Rumour has it, during times of anger, and extreme stress she has even overruled the tides and the Moon itself.
  While commonly thought to be a spirit, she actually has a physical form, and is not a Goddess as she has a mortal mother. Having lived in the farthest depths of the ocean for countless millennia, preferring to be alone. It has been said that those times she walks among mortals, she is indistinguishable from other mortals.
  Considered a monster in her true visage, all either avoid her at all costs or flee her presence in terror. This has lead to the misconception that she has lead countless seafarers and other creatures to their deaths, and has enslaved any and all that cross her path, for all eternity.
The truth, is far more tragic. Savelina vowed long ago, to help all who make use of the sea in their travels, above, and below the waves, after her love, a great Samoan warrior, who sadly lost his life at sea.
  Few have overcome their own fears, to seek her aid and beg for help to solve their problems. Her price, is a year of servitude, where they are taught a trade, to believe in themselves, whatever is required to help them understand that her skills, her power cannot cure all ills.
  However, a few times, her unique magic has been required to come into play, to fulfill her part of the bargain. Making it clear, what she can do is only temporary fix but all the same she tries to fulfill their wish, as best she can, knowing it will never be enough. Sadly, time and time again she has watched poor unfortunate souls, need nothing more than to believe in themselves to be happy.
  Blamed countless times for deaths due to the ignorance, foolishness and vicious emotions of mortals and other denizens of the sea she had hidden herself away in the fathomless depths, until now.
  Even as she walks amongst mortals pretending to be one of their own she has remained faithful to her vow to help, despite her own pain and memories of the past. Approach, if you dare, to seek her help. If you are willing to pay the price, she will do all she can, to give you what your heart desires.
