Will the Lost Pages section on your site be updated with stuff from the 'Bring Down Heaven' trilogy?

Short answer: I’d really like to.

Long answer: yes, if I can find the right artist and work out the right deal with them.  Michael, who did the original ones, has had such success in his life that he needs to focus on his own work and I couldn’t be happier for him.  So I’d need to find someone who could be up for the work!

Are you trying to convey a message, a statement if you will, throughout your recent books as to religion? Or is it merely a background against which you want to tell a story?

I’m way more interested in hearing what message or statement on religion readers think there is in there.

Saw this on /co/ and wanted your thoughts: "Unsounded is a bit... girly, though. If that makes sense. A little too much focus on emotion and useless character moments."

Can’t please everyone. Not every reader likes when a story meanders now and then, or takes breaks from the main narrative to give the characters quiet moments and let everyone catch their breath. Some readers are very impatient for resolutions - and I can’t entirely blame them. It’s particularly frustrating in a webcomic when conversations have to stretch out for a month at a time.

I think “a little too much focus on emotion” is a baffling phrase though. I don’t personally think I would have any interest at all in a story that didn’t consistently focus on the emotions of its cast. Like, that is my jam. I like emotions and characters. They are why I do what I do. Maybe because… because… what is this tickling betwixt my thighs holy shit is that a vagina

Alternately I’m just a talentless hackfraud who doesn’t know what she’s doing. I would take that much more seriously than being called girly. If book orders are any indication, the majority of Unsounded’s readers are dudes. So it’s not just girls embracing emotions, regular humans are doing it too. Maybe that Anon should join the Cool Vagina Club! Slits Are It!

I will forever be puzzled by readers who deride emotions and character moments as “useless.”  These are what make it a story as opposed to a sequence of events.

I’m tired of getting these stupid offers to work on people’s “passion projects” for free, usually with the promise of compensation when/if the project takes off. Guess what? I don’t care that you’re passionate about it, I care if you’re competent. When you knock on my door asking for free work, its a clear sign that you aren’t. You might have hopes that your project hits it big and that you’ll eventually get rich off of it, but if you REALLY believed in it, I feel like you’d be more willing to put your own livelihood on the line instead of asking an artist to do it for you. If I do a bunch of free work hoping it’ll pay off, I’m not doing other work that could actually feed me and pay my bills. And what happens when the project doesn’t get funded or some important factor blows up or everyone decides to quit out early? I get screwed. So, no. I don’t want to work on your passion project. Not unless I get paid up front.
