“Contemplation” A recent illustration I finished based around Lilliana at the end of the “War of the Spark”. I wanted to capture her emotion in a rare moment of contemplation. @wizardsmagic @fantasyartwatch @cardboard-crack @mtgfanart

Remember the Lord of the Rings Adventure Game from Iron Crown Enterprises? I bet you don’t! This week on the Vintage RPG Podcast, we take a look at the short lived gateway game for Iron Crown’s Middle Earth Role Playing. Published from 1991 to 1993, it is an odd little game that perhaps has more in common with pick-your-path gamebooks than it does a tabletop RPG of the period. At the very least, it has some sick cover art by Angus McBride.

"Fblthp had always hated crowds, and so he ventured into the deep forests beyond the comfort of the magisters gardens. The dense woods unravelled their mysteries for young fblthp and in a moment of illumination, he realised he was no longer lost and no longer alone". Here is a fan illustration for MTG. Fblthp is one of my favourite characters over the years and I felt like I wanted to carry on his story in some ways. I thought it would be really nice if he was able to finally find himself some more of his own kind and not be lost anymore. I hope you enjoy this illustration as much as I enjoyed painting it! I would love to see this as part of MTG.

Hey MTG Fan Art! I hope it’s okay to tag you in this. Here is a recent illustration I finished. It was an homage to an old card I loved called “Royal Assassin”. I wanted to update it as if it could be used in a new core edition set for MTG.
A piece of fan art for Magic The Gathering. One of my favourite cards in the history of MTG was the “Royal Assassin”. I had great fun playing with that card against my Dad and the original artwork by Mark Zug was burned into my brain ever since! I thought it would be awesome to honour that and create this update to the “Royal Assassin” as if I was working on a new MTG set. I loved every minute of working on this piece of my childhood. :) - Samu
I hope you all like it ! :) You have all been so inspiring to me over the years so I hope you can take this some what as a small token of my appreciation to you for keeping the motivation alive! It’s been a dream of mine for the longest time to work on Magic: The Gathering as an Illustrator and Concept Artist, hopefully one day that will come true. @wizardsmagic @fantasyart @fantasyartwatch @alteredmtgcardart @magicthegathering
