Fic Update - Finally!

After way too long of a dry spell... where oh where does the muse go when it hides? Not to mention a spate of migraines and vertigo that have made finding writing time nearly impossible, I've finally found time to publish an update for Lighthouse. Can't believe its been nearly a year since I visited that world, (or at least let readers in). I hope you are all still following along with me, because despite a lengthy hiatus, I have no intention on giving up until Liv's healing journey is complete. not to sound old and grizzled at 27, but the push-of-a-button convenience we have for so many things now is both great and also absolutely terrible. people are losing patience for any kind of friction in their lives, and for doing things the long way.

half of the fun of a hobby like writing is the actual process of it. yeah, i complain all the way through, and yeah, i want to tear my hair out when the words aren't working, but when they do and it finally starts taking shape and you're in a groove? it's so much fun and so satisfying to know you made something with your own brain and the letters in the alphabet. and learned something while you did it, too.

if you rely on generative ai to do it for you, not only are you supporting tech that's environmentally destructive and scraping half of the internet, you're also robbing yourself of the process and all the growth that comes with it. don't let your critical thinking skills atrophy for the sake of a chatbot that makes stuff up half the time.
