Missing Baler and its waves.
A DAY AT MANILA BAY
Last Thursday, my friends and I, together with our professor, went around Manila Bay, from Harbour Square to Harbour View, to take photos that can be used for our upcoming exhibit. Upon arriving at Harbour View, we saw these kids swimming and jumping from the top of these posts, most probably from a wrecked bridge, beside Harbour View restaurant. It was really great to see how they have fun and enjoy even the simplest things in life. I am truly grateful I was given the chance to capture these moments and share them with you.
You may view the rest of the photos HERE.
This May 2014, be ready to JUANDER once again.

Something BIG is coming this May! Stay tuned for updates!
"When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator." - Mahatma Gandhi I gazed upon this big, bright and beautiful moon tonight. Have you seen it too?
Here's a teaser of the beauty shoot I did with my High School friends. Will post the whole set hopefully on the weekend. :)
Nothing beats the feeling when you get to see your High School friends again after 5 years.
Really had fun shooting these two today! Can't wait to share the whole set and also my Baler set, which is already long overdue. :)

MAGSIMULANG MAGSIMULA
Magsimulang Magsimula is the first campaign of Yabang Pinoy for 2014, in collaboration with Linya-Linya, that went on from mid-January until last week. Since it’s new year and it’s this time of year when we think of resolutions and changes for a better year ahead, they thought of a concept that will motivate people to move and start doing things, thus, having this witty campaign name.
What I like about the idea is the fact that it showed 15 common activities that we usually do and sometimes, take for granted with witty write-ups and descriptions for each one. Since the approach is pretty much straightforward, it wakes us up and pushes us to start moving and trying new things that can make those longed changes happen one little step at a time.
I feel really grateful I was given the opportunity to shoot my first major campaign for Yabang Pinoy. Working with two of the talented designers I know, Mica Ferrer and Geri Dela Cruz, is beyond what I can imagine. It was really a fun and playful project. It brought back the child in me. I have nothing else to say, but be thankful for the trust they gave me to showcase what I really love and enjoy shooting, tabletop photos.
I heard this campaign will be featured on Interaksyon. I really do hope it pushes through. Keeping my fingers crossed!
OLD PEOPLE PORTRAITS
This set is basically portraits of old people I shot last week for a plate. Some of them I’ve met when we went to Tagaytay last week, like Mang Roberto, and the others just around our village. It was really a pleasure meeting people like them. You get to know their stories and experiences. May it be good or bad, I’ve noticed how simple their lives are. Some were just sitting in an old rusty chair, reading a newspaper, cleaning their yards, walking around with their freshly bought vegetables from a nearby sari-sari store, and some were just standing there while giving me simple genuine smiles.
