Shoto looks down at Asuka, her big eyes shimmering as she realized that one of her favorite pro hero Shoto was right in front of her. She immediately grabbed her notebook from her bag and held it in front of him.
“Excuse me Shoto, but can l get your signature? I’m one of your biggest fans!” She confessed as she look up at him
Shoto gave his usual smile and grabbed her notebook with a pen.
“Sure kiddo.” He chuckled as he signed his name on the notebook.
Asuka checked her watch to see how much longer she had before she had to go to school.
Shoto noticed her looking at her watch and offered to walk alongside her to take her to school. Her smile lit up as she walked beside him in the silent neighborhood, time quickly passing.
Asuka arrived at school and bowed down at Shoto to thank him for walking with her. He told Asuka it was no problem and wished her a good day.
He continued his patrol until he heard from a few other Pros that there was a robbery happening on the other side of the city so he used his ice to get there quickly.
After the robber was taken to the station, Shoto went back to his agency and tried to focus on the documents he had to work on. His mind clouded with the image of Asuka, the shade of her hair haunted him with the image of the woman he was once captivated with.
The thoughts came into his head, “what if Asuka was (reader’s) kid?” He stayed deep into the hunch Mina gave him until his phone rang. Shoto grabbed his phone from his pocket and read the contact.
“Enji.” The name that had poisoned his childhood with misery and physical violence, he hesitated a moment before deciding to answer the call to see what his old man wanted with him.
“Hello, what do you want father?” He questioned his father’s motives to call him since he rarely spoke to his father in the last few months since their last dinner reunion that Fuyumi organized. He was still healing and was taking his time instead of ignoring it like when he was in U.A.
“Shoto, how are you doing? I saw that you grew in ranks and l wanted to see how you were.” Enji remarked, smiling weakly on the other side of the phone, exhausted since his body was aging now that he was in his mid fifties.
“I’m doing fine father, how are you and mom doing?” Shoto sighed since he wasn’t interested in the conversation his father was trying to initiate. Especially when at the last dinner, Enji had said to Shoto about how he should have married Momo instead of (reader) now that he was 32 and divorced instead of being married with the idea of a child in mind.
“Shoto, you know that l’m just looking out for you? You’re at the age when your mother and I had you, l don’t want you to regret your decisions when you’re alone.” Enji warned as his tone was getting more intense yet quiet.
“You mean the child that you forced my mom to have because you were obsessed with the fact you couldn’t get over your jealousy of All Might?” Shoto paused for a moment before continuing the conversation.
“Listen, l still want to form a relationship with you but l’m tired of your suggestions and fake worries, goodbye father and tell mom that l love her.” Shoto hung up, his hands clenching the desk as he tried to calm down.
The people outside his office stayed quiet since they heard a few parts of the conversation, not wanting to get involved into the family drama that Shoto had.
His mind was a mess, Shoto sat down at his chair and just laid his head back, a migraine coming in. He decided to open the drawer of his desk and look at the ring, the last physical item he had that was connected to you.
He softly held it close to him, all the memories of you were still in his mind, even if he wanted to ignore it. He still wasn’t able to move on from the past since he held you close to his heart, even if you moved far away, even if you wanted him to forget you. He’d always love you after the divorce.

“Excuse me, do you know where the business course?” A girl had tapped his shoulder and had asked Shoto a simple question, he turned around and looked at her. This girl was around his age and had changed her uniform just enough where the teachers wouldn’t know she was breaking the rule of no personal accessories.
“Why are you talking to me? We aren’t in the same course, you can ask someone else.” He pointed out as he went to turn around, you were annoyed at the fact that this guy that you just asked a simple question was annoyed.
You kicked him in the shins when you noticed that no teachers were in the hallway, only a few students around that couldn’t care less if someone kicked a person. The boy had grabbed onto the stairs rail and turned around.
“What the hell? Why did you-.” Shoto looked down at this girl that had kicked him for no reason as she glared at him.
“Listen here big shot, just because you are Endeavor’s son doesn’t mean you can ignore people you deem lesser than you. I don’t care that you have some fancy quirk, don’t give an attitude to people that just want a little help with directions, l don’t even know how you can be a hero if you don’t even want to help someone with a tiny problem.” You yelled before leaving to go ask another person for directions.
Shoto was shocked at the fact that a person other than his father had straight up yelled at him, nobody had called him out for when he was blunt and rude. He noticed the time and went to his class.
He only saw you a few times in the hallway and noticed that you were always with a few friends, it still stuck in his mind that you stood up to him and Shoto wanted to talk to you since he was a bit curious about you.
After the Stain incident, he had interacted with you again and that was when everything started. You had gone to Hosu since your father was having heart surgery, due to your worries, you went on a little walk around the hallways of the hospital.
You noticed a certain splint red and white haired individual in one of the rooms you walked past and peeked inside. A dark blue haired boy and a dark green haired boy was also inside his room.
Shoto was laying down and turned to his left side when he noticed you at the door, he was silent since he didn’t know what to say, Shoto thought it was stupid that although he wanted to talk to you, he didn’t know what he wanted to say.
You smirked a little bit since you had saw the sports festival and saw that he was in 2nd place, you walked into the room and went towards his bed.
“Oh, so the powerful son of Endeavor is in the hospital because of a simple patrol? I would have thought you might have fought Stain if you were this badly injured and the story that we were told, unless someone’s lying.” You teased him since it was amusing towards you.
He just sighed and looked at you, your eyes were striking and your smile was gentle yet bold with amusement. Shoto spoke a bit to you instead of ignoring you.
“What do you want, l thought you were annoyed with me about our first meeting?” He mumbled while he laid back down on his head, Stain had done a number on him and he wasn’t in the mood.
“Well, l wanted to talk to you, l’m also not in the mood for any bullshit since l’m stressed. Plus, a little birdie told me about some things about you.” Your smile disappeared as your expression became more understanding rather than audacious.
“I apologize for kicking you in the shins rather than being reasonable and l also apologize for being a bit insensitive for calling you son of endeavor. I didn’t know about your family problem and even then, it’s rude to address someone as their parent’s kid instead of themselves, please forgive me Todoroki-kun.” You apologized and bowed down since you wanted to show accountability.
The splint red-white hair boy was shocked that you were apologizing since he was an asshole, Izuku had shown him that his behavior was rude and was trying to better himself, instead of making fun of you apologizing. He just smiled and forgave you even if he was confused that you knew about his family’s history.
“I also apologize for being rude to you (reader’s l/n), l should have showed you the way to your course instead of being rude.” Shoto apologized and got out of bed to bow down.
You guys had spent the rest of the time talking about your likes and dislikes about food and random things until visiting hour was over.

It had been a few months since that hospital interaction and Shoto and you had gotten closer as friends, his heart always pounded whenever he was with you. He didn’t understand the feeling inside his body, Shoto was never taught social cues nor his own self so how was he supposed to know this weird thing that happened whenever you were around.
You never noticed how awkward he became whenever you were close to him, hugging him, or holding his hand to drag him to a new place you wanted to try with him. Your friends had said you both looked like a couple but you thought it was something friends did since you acted the same with all your friends.
You both were in the library studying in different subjects since you both had upcoming exams. Your headphones were plugged in your phone while he stayed focused on his notes in math. You put his hand on his hand and Shoto froze in shock and the weird feeling in his body.
It was winter and you both were close to a small little gap in the window that let in the freezing air so you held onto his left hand since it was warm. You looked up from your textbook and looked at him.
“Hey, can you use your left side to warm me up a bit? I’m a bit chilly and my tights and sweaters aren’t keeping me as warm as your left side, l’ll pay you in our next meet up when we want to eat.” You confided as you held onto his left hand.
Shoto had listened to your request and used his left side just enough to keep you warm. His mind went back to a few weeks ago when he had talked to Izuku and Kirishima about his situation with you, he thought they would give him the best advice since they seemed to know more about social cues and knew what they wanted in life.
Both Kirishima and Izuku told him that he was having a crush on you and that the best way to reveal it was to confess in a place where your attention could be on him, it’s private, and the confession is meaningful.
Shoto looked at his phone and noticed that you would have to go home soon, he told you the time and you started to pack your notebook and textbooks away in your bag, he also put his stuff back into his bag and walked alongside you out of the library.
You both walked home in the bright lights in the city, Christmas was only 3 weeks away so you just rambled about all things you got for your friends and family and gave a few hints you had something special for him.
He listened the entire time while smiling, you were so compassionate while talking to him, he loved that about you. Then again, he liked everything about you. How your smile felt so warm towards him, how you took your interests and others to heart, and how you were as a person.
After 17 minutes, you both made it to your house and you turned to look back at Shoto.
“Thanks Sho for taking me home, l’m grateful you decided to stay with me for the walk instead of going to the train station, good night Shoto!” You thanked him as you were about to enter your house.
“Actually (reader), l have something to tell you, is it okay to take a few minutes of your time to say so?” Shoto asked as he mentally prepared himself for either the best night of his life or the most awkward night he’ll remember.
You looked back at him and waited for his response, the keychains on your bag silent since time had stopped in your head. Confusion filling the void in your head, Shoto never really stopped you for anything unless something was wrong.
Shoto breathed a sigh as he looked directly into your eyes.
“Well (reader), l have this question l want to ask and it’s okay if you want to say yes or no, l won’t be hurt and l would like to stay friends if you say so.” Shoto admitted as he fidgeted with his pants.
“(Reader), l like you more than the average person would when it comes to liking a person you consider a friend. Even though the feelings l have are a bit confusing, l know for a fact that l like you, do you want to try this new relationship as partners?” Shoto confessed, waiting for any hint of acceptance or rejection.
You just stared back in shock, you knew you felt a similar way to him but you didn’t expect that he would confess right outside your house, the shock faded away in happiness and love since you knew he thought this through instead of rushing it.
A smile lit on your face as you held his hand.
“I would love to go out with Shoto, when do you want to go on a date?” You asked while panicking since you didn’t want to fumble the bag, you finally managed to have the opportunity to have a loving partner and you didn’t want to lose that.

Shoto noticed the time on the clock and left his agency to go back to his apartment since he wanted to sleep before he’d have to work again.
Meanwhile, you’d just got out of your office and remembered that your friend was unavailable to pick up Asuka and she already borrowed a book after studying so she didn’t have to go the library.
So you decided to go pick up Asuka since you wanted to take her to the playground for some fun and a little sweet treat afterwards.
You drove back home and parked the car in the parking lot of your apartment since you wanted to walk to get a bit of exercise in since you’ve been sitting in at your desk half the time.
The school was only 20 minutes away so it would be quick and you would be able to talk to Asuka more instead of being distracted by stupid drivers that made you wonder where they got their license from.
Asuka was waiting outside the school gates when she noticed you, her smile became more bigger as she ran to you, excited to tell you about her day and what she heard from her friends and classmates.
“Mama, mama! You would not believe what happened today!” Your little girl exclaimed.
“Okay, what happened today.” You chuckled since Asuka always had crazy stories to tell that made you think she had a creative mind or weird things always happened to her.
“Apparently, Chiyo-chan’s daddy and mommy are not together since her daddy was kissing her mommy’s sister so they aren’t in love anymore.” Asuka admitted while looking at the ground, dodging the cracks to avoid breaking your back.
You were shocked since you didn’t expect your daughter to say that, she’s only in the first grade and already hearing about others business, though you never liked Chiyo’s father since he was flirt in a weird way.
“Kids are random and blunt.” You thought while look down at Asuka, you asked her if anything else happened.
Asuka looked up and said something that shocked you to the core.
“Well, pro hero Shoto walked me to school and wrote his signature on my notebook?” She opened her backpack and grabbed her notebook, showing you the name on the front cover.
You paused at the name, “Shoto.” You refused to listen to any news about him or talk to him with Mina since you just didn’t want to be associated with him since you both were divorced.
It was hard enough that you got judged by your aunts and some cousins for divorcing him since apparently to them. You lost a chance in success in life even though you were working for a big business that made good money.
You looked back at Asuka and asked her a simple question.
“Did you tell him your last name?” You questioned your daughter.
“Yes! He’s such a cool hero and he was really nice.” Her smile was big with happiness while you were worried since he might find out the truth.
A/n: I was watching a bunch of friends while typing this and listening to Bad habit and Lover is a day, l lowkey paused midway to see if l made any mistakes since l want it to be accurate. Hope you liked it! I’ll work on part 3 when l stop getting writer’s block.
