✧ - what are requisitions?

requisitions (or "reqs") are optional, voluntary tasks that can be claimed by 1 or more muses (depending on the req). IC, they are jobs/requests made by the townsfolk of yeonghae that others can complete; OOC, they are essentially writing prompts meant to inspire solos/musings/interactions.

✧ - how do i fulfill a req?

requisitions will specify how many muses they can be claimed by. you can either plan to claim one with someone else and claim it together, or you can claim one and see who else will claim it with you. to claim a req, you should reply to the post with the name(s) of the muse you are claiming it for. if you plan to claim with anyone else, you can also include their muse in your reply to reserve them together. you will then receive a DM from the admin confirming that your muse has been "hired" for the req and the post will be updated; after that, you can start working on the prompt! "completion" can look different depending on the req. some are more OOC oriented (ie. musings posts/character development), while others may work better as solos or threads with other muses. if there's a specific format for a task, it will be listed on the post, but otherwise you can be creative as you want with how you want to complete it! when you're "done" --- either you finished the task OOC or the general goal of the task was accomplished IC --- send a link of the post/thread to the admins via DMs on this blog or the main blog (@sanctuary-fm). if you're unsure about a thread is "complete enough" or anything like that, reach out to the admins and we'll happily take a look!

✧ - is there a time limit? can i take back a claim?

after your claim is confirmed, you will have 1 week to either complete the OOC task or write a starter for the thread (whichever applies). if this deadline passes, the post will be marked as available again in its reply section. you can also withdraw a claim on a req at any time, just message the admins! if you claimed with someone else, we ask that you give them a heads up too. if one or more muses is cleared for activity while the req is active, the req will be reopened. if other muses were involved, the admins will reach out and work with the remaining muses about reopening the req with them or simply closing them for credit.

✧ - how many reqs can i complete?

as many as you want! however, each muse can only have two (2) active reqs claimed at a time; they must finish these reqs before claiming another. eacn muse can also only have a maximum of two (2) activity passes at a time (they can keep completing more reqs, but they will not be eligible to gain the reward if they already hold 2 unused passes at the time they complete an extra req).

✧ - what do i earn?

each completed req will grant you one automatic activity pass. we encourage you to keep count of your own muses' reqs, but the main will also be keeping track. if your muse is about to be placed on the warning list for an activity check, we'll automatically apply the pass and your muse will have another week to post before being placed on the warning list. again, each muse can only have a maximum of two (2) activity passes at a time.

✧ - can i submit my own requisition?

yes! see THIS POST for the submission form & instructions and make sure you submit it to our submissions blog (@find-sanctuary). each writer can have one (1) open/ongoing reqs for each muse at a time. each req will be left open indefinitely until its requester decides to remove it or mark it as complete. to edit, complete, or cancel one of your open reqs, just contact the main! at the moment, we are only accepting reqs that can be completed as interactions with other muses. these reqs can be flavored as requests made by an NPC of your own design or as a request made by your muse themselves, but either way, your muse must be involved in the thread that you write, and your muse will be automatically listed as one of the taken spots. for example: you can submit a req as your muse searching for a hunting partner (the thread could be the two muses going hunting), or you can submit a request as an npc hiring people to look for a missing item, where your muse is one of the people already hired (the thread could be the two muses searching, then bringing the item to the npc).

ON THE SEARCH FOR MUSE. as a traveling artist, i arrive at yeonghae worn and tired by the journey to the coast, which has so far been lonely, quiet, and so oppressively gray. yeonghae's colors and liveliness are such a welcome breath of fresh air, and i have hopes that i may be able to find new sources of inspiration during my stay here. i am currently looking for individuals who would be willing to showcase to me their individual stories, personages, or sentimental belongings. i do not require much, and i understand that discretion is highly valued by many, so please rest assured that i won't be recording nor reproducing anything i am given --- nor do i necessarily want to know your identity at all, if you must come under some guise. i am interested in who you are, where you've been, and the things that lurk in that little heart of yours. so come find me in the corner of whiskey's tavern, stranger, and sit with me awhile. let us sit, nameless and faceless if you wish, and you'll tell me something about yourself. i'll be the one LISTENING.

✧ TASK ZERO

this requisition officially constitutes our task zero! this is a completely optional task that can be fulfilled at any time and by any number of muses. the theme of this task is muse inspiration and exploration; below, we've given some prompts that you can pick and choose to complete for a muse (or complete of them!) completing at least one of the prompts below will earn you 1 free activity pass, one per muse you complete it for. for more information on how this will be applied, please see our requisitions FAQ. completed tasks can be posted under #sntask:000 for visibility and credit for the reward (make sure to tag any relevant triggers as well). you can organize your answers in any way you wish (combining them into one post, separating them by muse, separating each prompt, etc), but you will only receive the reward once per muse. * during this period where we have not officially opened yet, if you would like to complete this task but would prefer not to make your blog/answers visible until opening day, simply leave out the tag and send a link to the post to @sanctuary-fm so that we can still note that you completed the task and earned the reward!

✧ PROMPTS

A. WEAVE ME A TALE

in character, write a solo thread (at least 300 words) of your muse sitting with TALEWEAVER at the tavern and telling them a story that contains at least one element of the muse's own past, relationships, interests, etc, without using any real names of the characters involved. for example, a muse who is deeply proud of their family might decide to tell an embellished tale about their family's crowning achievements, but without using their family's names; or, a muse who aches for revenge might decide to tell the story of some character who finally finds vengeance, which might reflect how the muse wants to get their vengeance. be creative! you're welcome to describe your muse's inner thoughts / the "truth" of their story as much as you want or completely leave it up to interpretation.

B. PAINT ME A PICTURE

create a visual moodboard of at least 9 or more images related to your muse, their backstory, their powers, or anything else that is important to your muse. this can be completed by uploading a photoset directly to tumblr, creating and linking a p*nterest board, or editing and posting your own collage of images. include a title or some description about the theme that you chose for these images (and feel free to tell us how/why if you wish!). when posting, please remember especially to tag any triggers, and remember that we do not allow the posting of explicitly NSFW visual media!

C. SING ME A SONG

create a playlist of at least 9 or more songs related to some aspect of your muse, their backstory, their powers, or any relationship that is important to your muse (themselves, their family, etc). this can be completed by creating a list of songs or creating and linking an actual playlist. include a title or some description about the theme that you chose for these images (and feel free to tell us how/why if you wish!).

D. SPIN ME A WEB

webweaving is defined as the "combination of various pieces of media from different sources, united by a common theme, topic or concept." in this fashion, collect a series of musings / prose / images / poetry relevant to some aspect of your muse. while these types of posts are usually centered around a specific theme ( HERE is an example on “missing home and moving on” ) , feel free to choose a more general approach that would summarize your muse’s essence. include at least four pieces of media or more, uploaded as a photoset.

E. SHOW ME A TREASURE

in at least 300 words total, list and describe at least 5 or more personal items that your muse possesses. consider this as a show-and-tell study of those objects --- describe what they are, how they look, and what meaning(s) that they carry for your muse. you can choose what to focus on: how the muse obtained this object, how long they have had it for, whether they are happy to have it, etc, anything that gives a deeper glimpse into your muse.

✧ REQUISITION FORM

name of requester: either your muse who is making this request or an NPC of your creation. if you make an NPC, your own muse must still be involved in the thread. NPCs cannot be created for limited occupations at canon locations (aka any jobs marked with a * on the LOCATIONS page).

contact requester first?: Y/N (if muns need to contact you before claiming this req)

requisition title: something short and sweet like a "HELP WANTED ___" headline.

task:

required. describe the main task/goal of this req. is there an item that needs to be found? is there work that the requester needs help with? this should be written in character, as if the requester wrote this description themselves.

task details (optional):

add any extra details that you want muses to know IC. are there any specific skillsets the requester is looking for? are there any dangers they should be warned about (or not...)? again, this should be written in character, as if the requester wrote this description themselves. because this is an IC section, any "requirements" here are purely for plotting flavor & will not be enforced by admins OOC, allowing muses to possibly "lie" (IC) about their qualifications for a task.

ooc notes (optional):

this is for any extra details/npc context/plot twists/etc you're planning for the thread that you'd like other muns to know beforehand. you can also add "requirements" if you want, but we encourage you to be as open as possible for more possibilities (ie. you can say that muses would have had to see this ad within a certain IC time period, etc, but try to avoid concrete limits like origin or gender roles)!
