‪"My heart was hungry for His presence"‬
"At Pentecost Holy Spirit took up residence in the hearts of followers of Jesus.."
June 4 Ordination Sunday! 12 - 1PM. Celebrating the ordination of Pastor Audrey McCormick. Join us for a potluck celebrate afterwards
Our Bridegroom, Jesus says to us in Song of Songs 2:14, "How beautiful your eyes of worship and lovely your voice in prayer." But what does it mean to have eyes of worship? According to usage in the Bible, eyes can mean: "pleased, presence, sight, by analogy a FOUNTAIN" (Strongs #5869). Fountain refers to "Source of satisfaction" (Strongs #4599). So, having eyes of worship is to find satisfaction in worshipping. Jesus also speaks of the importance of what our eyes behold in Matthew 6:22. Worshipper is defined as "a temple servant, on all sides" (Strongs #3511). From this, we see that a worshipper not only worships when there's music playing, but they worship in all they do. On all sides of the temple, they are servants. I find this compelling. God has created us to have eyes of worship. We are made to find satisfaction in worshipping Him in all we do. He not only loves the sound of our vocal worship, as Lisa was speaking about on Sunday, but He loves it when we have our eyes set on worshipping Him on all sides. -Hope
