Cody: We've had more. I did. And yes, I can. I ride out here most weekends.

Hallie: I'm mixed when it comes to it. I like to meet people but only things flow organically. Which has been fine on this app so far. Nobody has made me feel forced to talk to them. But maybe I'm old school and want to meet people in person instead of sitting here and guessing how they're receiving my messages. Like to read their expression instead of hoping I'm not coming across as weird.
Hallie: Or too chatty. My aunt says I'm too talkative. She sees me type away on here.
Hallie: Which is happening....right...now.
Hallie: OKAY! Enough about me. Lets talk about you! Have you met a lot of people through this?
Cody: I understand that. The app makes it weird because there's almost this expectation that you're goin' out with more than one person cause it ain't serious. And that's weird.
Cody: Ain't nothing wrong with talking a lot though. It's how people get to know you.
Cody: Um...I've met a couple people. It's been cool. And has served my best friend's purpose of me not bein' lonely out here so that's been cool.

Matt: I want to be babied every so often. Usually when I don't have the energy in me to take care of myself. It's a good thing Grubhub exists.
Matt: We moved once but kept to the same city. Went from an apartment to a house but that was before my sister came along.
Matt: A farm, huh? What type?
Cody: Grubhub saves lives, man. I understand.
Cody: Did y'all move because of the sister coming?
Cody: A working one. :D
Cody: Uh...mostly crops. Animals too. But that wasn't really how we made money. And it's died off over the years. Now we mostly keep animals cause my mom likes it.

Matt: I'm having one of those distance sucks moments. Got the cold and my mom wants to take care of me. Which isn't possible. I won't have her fly out here. Tempted to but I won't.
Matt: Has your family lived in the same place or have they moved around?
Cody: You want her to come out and take care of you though, don't you? Cause I kinda know that feeling.
Cody: Nah. My parents own a farm so we were always in the same place. Did y'all move around a lot?

Carissa: I didn't know that but go me for saying you did because I was totally right. What type of animals do they have? Oooo! Do they have horses?
Carissa: This is me asking now. Are you sweet with anyone else you talk to?
Cody: My parents have goats and pigs. A few horses. Some chickens. I think there might be a random duck or two.
Cody: I'm nice to everyone. But you're...you're you.

Hallie: See! My aunt, she's the one who got me to do this, told me I need to be assertive and talk to people on here. Which I feel weird doing because I have no idea how people are reacting to me. I also have crummy luck with meeting people in person because I get nervous. It's hard meeting new people.
Cody: Best friend got me into it. She was convinced I'd be lonely out here since I'm so far from family. So I get the friends/family butting in thing. But I think meeting people is fun, so I don't really regret doing the thing.

JB: Definitely not. You don't know where my tacos have been.
JB: It's a deal. I'm hoping it'll still feel the same six months from now, interesting and like the right decision.
JB: So what do you do?
Cody: Exactly. Don't know where your tacos have been. Who knows what could happen.
Cody: I'm a student....studying personal training. What about you, man?

Sky: Yeah, I guess they're rich folk schools. Do you have any pets? I have a dog, but I think I'd have a whole zoo if it were practical.
Sky: I'm a lifeguard, so I was meeting a lot of surfers. Thought I'd give it a try myself. What about you?
Cody: Yeah. I have a dog. A little mutt
Cody: A lot of my friends were into surfing and it seemed fun. So I got into it

Matt: Ain't gonna lie. It did suck. A lot. I try to look on the bright side which is easier now than then.
Matt: I get what you mean now. You can't exactly head back to somewhere if that somewhere is technically in the same state. And new.
Cody: Yeah, I'd guess it would be. Distance makes things easier to look back on.
Cody: Right, exactly. I could visit if they were here, but it just wouldn't be home and it wouldn't have the memories.

Carissa: I can't even picture myself on a farm. With all those animals and dirt. I'm pretty sure a cow or goat or something along those lines will try to eat my clothes. Or hair.
Carissa: I know I'm talking about farm animals and all but that made me smile so much. I want to be selfish and as if you're sweet like this with anyone else?
Cody: ...you know not all farms have a ton of animals, right? I mean my parents do cause they raise animals and crops. But not all farmers do.
Cody: If you wanted to be selfish and ask, I'd answer.

Hallie: You're fine! 100% fine because I didn't realize I had these waiting on me until two days ago. Maybe I should be the one apologizing?
Hallie: Is it sad I can't remember what I did?
Andie: Nah, no apologies needed at all. You're all good :)
Andie: Not even a little sad. There are times I get so caught up it's pure luck if I remember to open my phone.

Sky: There were stables at two of my schools, but I just never really got comfortable being around horses. Dogs are more my speed, and you can't ride those.
Sky: I've been surfing for almost four years. I think if I was going to get much better at it, I'd have done it by now.
Sky: What are some of your other hobbies?
Cody: So rich folk schools, huh? I'm a dog person too. Animals in general are pretty great.
Cody: You never know, dude. Practice and all that. What got you into surfing in the first place?

JB: To be honest, I think I go for weird just to make it more memorable. Or I'm weird. Either way.
JB: Yeah, it's interesting. So far, anyway. Ask me if I still like it six months from now.
JB: I'd have shared, but we've only just met. 😜
Cody: Can't be sharing tacos with a stranger. Who knows what'd happen.
Cody: Nothin's wrong with memorable.
Cody: If I remember and we're still talking, you bet I will :)

Sky: I've never ridden a horse... I used to know a lot of guys who did, but I was always a little scared of them. Silly, right?
Sky: How long did it take you to get to the point where you weren't falling off right away?
Cody: There's something relaxing about it. Freeing I think. Not real silly though. I mean I grew up on a farm so it was pretty normal.
Cody: I've been doing it for so long, so I dunno. It took a while probably.

Carissa: That actually works?? I’ve never considered that! Look at you being resourceful with the indoor camping.

Cody: You are darn cute. I can't disagree with that. I'm not immune to it. But I'm gonna use that you think I am to my advantage.

Lulu: Oh, that's true. I didn't think about it that way. And it's hard to read tone too, so I can see someone making a joke and the person on the other end not reading it that way or something.
Lulu: I actually thought about that. Because the hair's pretty amazing, and you're a handsome guy, but... That felt a little bit too much like a sleazy pick-up line thing to do. I don't think I can pull those off.
Cody: Exactly. I think that's part of what I worry about, for sure.
Cody: I don't think there's really anybody who can pull them off. They just think they can. I've been told more than once that those are the kinds of things I should expect though which sucks.
