maneoxhyungi:
Hyungi was glad to help the male inside, mainly since there was more room and he could get a proper look at everything. Setting aside the things he didn’t need at the moment, the male made sure Sangki was rested against him before standing up. He was taller than the injured male and easily could hold up the slender figure, which was one of the things he was truly grateful for when it came to being a doctor. It was hard to deny that being tall and somewhat muscular helped with handling patience. As they stood his nose caught the scent of blood, eyes narrowing onto the males hand and seeing the deep red colour decorating that soft skin.
Once he had guided the other inside and made him sit down, Hyungi made a point of making it clear to Sangki to sit still and not move, if he didn’t want his foot to be further injured. Add to that Hyungi worried about the cut wound as he hadn’t inspected it and didn’t know if there was a need for stiches. Quickly he went outside to gather the things he had left behind and once more return to the handsome patients side. “Please, mister Bi Sangki, show me your hand. You have clearly badly twisted your ankle, which will hinder you in doing your job to a 100% capacity,” he spoke as Hyungi finally pulled out the first aid kit from his bag and started to unpack it. Since he was in a gang injuries were more than common, so by now the male had a rather well stocked kit with him. That and also pain killers that could knock out a horse, but that was a topic for another time. As he once more inspected the ankle in question, the male pulled out a cold spray and shook it before letting the cooling substance hit the others skin. Making sure to have covered what seemed the worst hit area, he moved to pull a packet of tissues from his bag and hand it to Sangki. “For your tears. I am sorry for the pain. The spray should lessen it and in the evening please put an ice bag on your foot - it will help. I still would like to insist that at least for today no more work is been done as otherwise your foot may get worse. I…could stay here and help, at least for today.”
Giving the other a small smile at the end of the sentence was very much to ease tension from his own mind and be helpful to the injured male. However a bit of shyness kicked in and he instead quickly busied himself with the males hand, easily moving to grab a disinfectant. “The cut isn’t bad and doesn’t need any stitches. I should still have clear bandages and such to help it heal quicker,” he explained as Hyungi worked on patching the other up, being delicate and careful. Compared to his own hands, which were large and had some wounds from his doctor training, Sangkis seemed delicate and nearly regal - Hyungi did his best not to be too dazzled by the other, but probably failed.
“Would you like some painkillers too? Your foot will probably bother you for a while.” Hyungi once more moved back to the others foot to bandage it and make sure not to hurt the other too much.
In honestly, Sangki was beyond grateful for the help this random stranger decided to give even if it came at the price of someone seeing him vulnerable. The fae didn’t enjoy the feeling of being indebted to another, but he could also recognize that there would have been no way he would have made it back inside his shop without a helping hand. HIs face twisted in pain as Hyungi moved to take the brunt of the fae’s weight. Every step was brutally painful as he hobbled beside the other into the shop towards the back where the register was. Another groan left his lips when he settled against the stool behind the counter and finally got off his feet.
He sat there breathing heavily as Hyungi left him alone. The shop was still just as he left it before his lunch break with his current order half constructed on the counter in front of him. If he didn’t get to it soon after being patched up, the fae was worried he’d lose the energy to finish. Silently he eyed the bouquet as his mind tried to drift away from the throbbing in his foot as well as the blood still oozing from the scrapes on his hand. Sangki snapped back to reality once Hyungi rejoined him. “Please, just call me Sangki, there’s no need for formalities here,” he said while offering up his injured ankle. After only ten minutes it was already beginning to swell up and turn a darker color. Even with proper icing, his medical remedies, and rest it was clear even to the fae that he shouldn’t be moving around for at least a week if not longer. Was that his plan? Definitely not. Still, he hissed his displeasure at the cold spray stinging his skin. He would suffer through the next few minutes or however long it’d take to get Hyungi out of his shop and then he’d close the store for the day to focus on finishing out orders. Then there were the clients he’d need to call...His mind began to whirl again naming off things he’d need to get done during the week that he nearly missed all of what the doctor said. Numbly, he used the offered tissue to wipe the wet stains on his cheeks and under his eyes. “Wait, what,” he asked already shaking his head. “Absolutely not. I can’t take up more of your time than I already am. I’m in your debt from your help, I can’t possibly ask you to finish my work for the day.”
The fae was truly overwhelmed by this stranger’s kindness that he realized he was staring so intensely that his lips had pulled down into a frown. No wonder Hyungi couldn’t bear to look at him for more than a few moments. Honestly, this was more socialization with someone outside of Amaranthine or his clients Sangki had had in weeks. Of course he was handling it terribly. “It doesn’t hurt as much as my ankle,” he replied with a hint of exasperation creeping into his voice. “A few scratches is nothing compared to dethorning an entire shipment of roses.” Once his hand was bandaged up, Sangki held it up to inspected the doctor’s work. He had done a good job at least that the fae wouldn’t be worried about the cuts getting infected.
“No thank you,” he replied a bit softer this time. “I have my herbal remedies upstairs and what I don’t have already made I can easily make.” To show what he meant the fae held out his uninjured hand palm side up. With a slow exhale Sangki summoned his power and created a small, delicate daisy which he then offered to Hyungi. “You could say I have a certain knack for plants. I prefer them than to modern medicine....No offense.” This time when he looked back at the doctor he tried giving him a slight smile.

Hyungi walked calmly along the street and kept an eye on the male with the flower pot, simply since he was interested if the other would make it. In a sense it was this curiosity if the huge probably to heavy plat plot would really be managed by such a slender figure. However his curiosity soon turned into worry as he observed how the stranger missed the step and fell, the crash of the males body and pot echoing up and down the street. His medical training kicked in immediately as Hyungi left reason at the road side and sprinted over to the other male. Pushing aside the flower pot and a few shards that had come loose, the red head sat down next to the other and examined everything - and finally looking at the males face. For a split moment he was in pure awe of the beauty that was displayed on that handsome face and yet he couldn’t linger on gazing at such a masterpiece.
“I saw you fall. I’m a doctor,” he spoke and smiled reassuring as the tall male moved to take the others foot into his hands carefully. “Please don’t move.” Hyungi gently handled the handsome strangers foot, figuring that from the cry of pain there could be some damage. Carefully he took off the shoe and sock, moving the foot gentle and watching the other for any reactions. “Does this hurt?”he pressed against the sole of the foot and forced it to mimic a stepping motion, already guessing the answer, “I think you twisted it. We should put some ice on it and bandage it up. I would say not to put any weight on your foot for at least a week. Carrying something heavy like this plot should be done by someone else. You fell pretty badly.” Hyungi put the others foot to rest on his thigh, as he looked into his bag for a first aid kit. “I think we should move you inside so you can get something to drink and I can properly take care of this.”
Hyungi was very gentle, words and voice kind and eyes never leaving the others handsome face when he had the chance. Nearly a sheepish smile came to his face at the end. “I am Hyungi, by the way.”
About three things Sangki was absolutely positive. One, the flower pot he dropped was certainly broken with its sharp pieces scattered across the sidewalk. Two, his ankle flared up painfully when he tried to move. And three, he was not alone. This stranger swooped in out of no where and startled the upset dryad into being quiet as he couldn’t stop looking between the man, the broken pot, and his own traitorous feet. He had been so close to finishing up his errands that he actually would have had time to eat a quick bite before his lunch break was up. Now there was no telling what the damage to his foot is and clearly it hurt to much to move much less stand up and finish a day’s work. If Sangki wasn’t accompanied by this handsome stranger he surely would have broken down into frustrated tears at his own bad luck. “I don’t think I could move if I tried,” he frowned.
How odd they must look at everyone walking by and how lucky was the fae to have had a doctor nearby to help. As the other painstakingly slowly pulled his sandal off, Sangki got a good look at his face past the alarmingly bright red hair. He saw sharp looking cheekbones and lips to die for. “Oh fuck,” he gasped suddenly as his foot lit up with pain. Whatever the doctor did certainly hurt. “Please, don’t do that again.” By now his eyes were watering up and the stinging from his cut up palms became noticeable. Right, the fae thought. He had landed on his hands when he fell. “I don’t have time to sit around all week, I’ve got a business to run,” he complained. “I’m sure I’ll be fine with a brace and one of my herbal teas.” Despite the pain he was in just the thought of having to close up shop for nothing more than a hurt foot sounded unthinkable. Sangki had too many orders that needed final touches and paying customers who expected finished products. “Just...help me inside and leave me be. I’ll be fine.”
Sangki tried not to his stubbornness color his expression too darkly, but he couldn’t let this pretty faced doctor tell him how to run his business. Yes, he was hurting. Yes, he probably should follow the other’s advice. Yet, for some reason the fae chose to argue instead. “Bi Sangki,” he replied.

maneobiseul:
Iseul bit his lip as he watched his little brother’s tears begin to fall. He had no idea what the other was currently going through. He only had an inkling of the thoughts that were running through the younger’s head. It was a lot to take in, seeing each other, especially with the attack on their gang being so recent. Even if Iseul was new, he still felt the pain of his fellow members, and the pain that Sangki must be feeling.
He smiled reassuringly, moving to wipe a few of the tears that fell from his brother’s cheeks. “What a bad apple,” he teased softly, biting his lip. He frowned at the mention of him not being in the fae realm. Technically, Sangki was right. He should have been in the fae realm. It was safe there. Away from vampires. Away from the dangers that the gang was currently experiencing. “Well,” he breathed, running a hand through his hair.
“I– got bored, I suppose?” Iseul began, biting his lip again. “I wanted to explore some. Helping the court doctor can only bring you so much joy, and I wanted to explore ever since the war,” he continued, sighing softly, “So I came to Earth around 1955. And… I kind of, sort of, fell in love with someone. So I stayed. Married him. Sort of. Legally, not really until recently, but in my book, married ever since 1957,” he smiled at the thought of his husband, biting his lip. “He died recently, so I needed something to do. I worked for Somin, and well, wanting something to do kind of led me to Amaranthine. I don’t have any legal Earth applications of medical training, but I sure damn have 1000 years worth of training, so they allowed me to become lead medic. I’ve only been around for two weeks.”
Sangki’s tears were slow to stop once he truly started crying, yet the dryad cried quietly with only small noises escaping him periodically. He found that crying was the easiest way to calm the swirl of emotions and let the tension leave his body. Was it pretty? Definitely not. Sangki knew he wasn’t a pretty crier. So, looking up at his older brother he knew his honey eyes were bloodshot and his cheeks were flushed. At least he had the motivation to shower that morning so his blue hair was fluffy and styled nicely.
“You were bored?” Sangki asked. His confusion was was clear in the way his brows furrowed and even then the more Iseul spoke the deeper his brows went. Something hot and jealous took a hold of him. Part of him was thrilled to hear his brother finding someone to love and marry. Had either of them stayed at Court they would have been married off to high born drayd women with the understanding they would carry on the royal line with children. Yet, the bitterness inside Sangki bubbled up and squashed everything. “Lovely of you to have the option,” he said through clenched teeth. The younger dryad finally turned away from his brother and went back to his now cold food waiting for him on the table. He plopped down into a seat and brought his food closer to him fully ignoring Iseul as he chewed.
He knew he was being petty. Every part of Sangki should be happy but he hoped Iseul could cut him some slack. A thousand years was a long time to go without seeing any family. Eventually, the younger wiped his face and motioned for Iseul to sit down across from him. “I’m sorry,” he mumbled. “It’s been a long time and I’m still,” he motioned with his hand, “trying to work through some things. This is a lot...I’m happy to see you but it’s a lot. Honestly, I really believed once I was banished I’d never see any of you again.”

Nature’s Cure
@sangkimaneo
Hyun-Ae has been running around ever since the attack on The Gilded Siren. She’s been in meetings with other enforcers, checking in on their gang’s sex workers and dealers, and fulfilling assassination orders. She hasn’t had a moment’s peace, but that means nothing to her. She’ll work herself to death if it means relieving the burden off the other members.
Right now, though, she’s killing two birds with one stone. The Gumiho makes her way to a familiar and comforting shop sitting inside Amaranthine territory. She visits so often, she’d live there if the owner would let her, but that’s not gonna happen. Anyway, Hyun-Ae likes her apartment too much. She was here to stress buy another plant—and more importantly, check on the dryad who ran her favorite little plant shop.
She pulled open the door and stepped inside. Immediately, Hyun-Ae was hit with the pleasant scents of various flowers and plants—the smell just a tad stronger than that of her apartment. She made herself at home, walking around to each plant and giving her usual greetings. She needed to find the perfect friend for the hydrangea sitting in her kitchen. Maybe she should ask for advice?
As she thought that, she heard footsteps. Hyun-Ae turned to the sound and saw just the person she was looking for.
“Sangki,” a gentle smile following her gentle voice. “It’s been a bit. Sorry I haven’t come by in a while. How’ve you been?”
For once business was slow for Sangki which meant he finally had enough free time to go through the mountain of paperwork he kept hidden away in his office. On top of shifting through order notes he needed to do inventory and that needed to be finished before confirming one of his best buyers was coming after closing hours. The dryad wasn’t fond of his position in Amaranthine, being a drug dealer wasn’t something he’d imagine for himself, but it gave him protection and that’s what mattered most. He pushed his blue curls away from his face not realizing he left a dirt streak behind and headed towards his office coming back with a sizable stack of papers and began to shuffle through them at the cash register.
The sound of the doorbell startled the dryad back to reality. A quick glance at his phone showed that nearly two hours had passed by in a blur of numbers and the headache that always came with doing paperwork. He winced as his head throbbed again and made a note to run upstairs to his apartment to get medicine as soon as his customer left. Still, Sangki fought through the pain and put on his customer service smile. It didn’t take long to circle his shop and find the person responsible for interrupting his focus.
“Hyun-Ae, hello.” Seeing the familiar gumiho in his shop wasn’t a surprise after she had made herself a frequent vistor. Surprisingly several Amaranthine members were. Despite not enjoying being in a gang Sangki at least enjoyed having friends again.
“It’s been,” he started and paused to think. “Busy with everything that’s happened. I’ll be happy to not make anymore burial wreaths for awhile. How have you been? Have you visited anyone at the hospital lately?”

A heavy pot
@sangkimaneo
It was one of the rare days that Hyungi was fully free from any responsibility and able to enjoy the warm weather that had announced itself in Seoul. Thus dressed in shorter shorts and a loose fitting shirt, pair of rounded sunglasses on the tip of his nose the medical student simply walked around. By now he did find whatever chance to get out and not have his nose in a book, even if finals week was fast approaching and his head felt like splitting. His grades were perfectly fine, he would pass his exams and yet the werewolf was rather wrecked. Somehow always able to make himself believe that maybe, just maybe he couldn’t manage everything and would somehow lose everything - that thought haunted him.
For now he left those dark thoughts in his room and was in an area new to him, spotting a flower shop on the corner. What he truly needed were some beautiful flowers on his desk to enjoy at least a bit of spring and the early summer, even if he couldn’t be outside. Setting his sites on the beautiful shop, his nose rose to the air to take in the light scents of blossoming blooms, leaving him to simply smile to himself. It was always so wonderful when spring arrives and the air was filled with the sweetest scents of nature. As he approached he watched a handsome young male carry what seemed like a heavy flower pot and wondered if the young male was alright with it.
Sangki’s flower shop rarely saw business like this. With all of the..terrorist attacks that left so many dead, dozens upon dozens of mourning family members came to him to order burial wreaths and bouquets. The rushing around his store left the dryad breathless and desperate for more help and even supplies. That was why he closed up shop for a long lunch break just so he would have time to go shopping for more vases, wires, and ribbons. A local art store just down the street would have most of everything he needed and Sangki knew the owners well enough that hopefully he could bargain for a bulk buy discount. At least the weather was cool enough outside that carrying all of the supplies back wouldn’t be completely terrible.
Trip after trip, Sangki carried back bags of supplies back to his store until all that was left was a rather large flower pot. By now his arms felt heavy enough that the dryad wouldn’t be surprised if they fell off. Physical strength had never been his strong suit not with his small frame. Beads of sweat were slipping down his nose, into his eyes, and making it hard to see over the flower pot and watch were his feet went. He should have seen it coming the moment his sandal clad feet missed one of the stairs up to his shop. Next thing Sangki knew was his body pitching forwards with his arms flailing and immediately dropping the flower pot to catch his fall. He landed painfully on his hands and cried out. Some how his foot that missed the step had twisted and know throbbed when he tried to move.
