eyes.  hazel irises that are often confused for variants of greens and browns, often filled with some kind of wariness or deep fear.

build.  defined musculature from frequent exercise ( lean ), below average height ( 5’ 2 )

skin.  moderate amount of scars ( from various sources* ), unhealthily pale skinned, light freckles on nose and cheeks.

notable  physical  traits.  ( when hungry / hunting ) completely black scleras, blood red irises. black veins prominent in the facial area which run down to her neck. teeth and nails grow sharper.

HEALTH.

physical.  would be considered to be in peak physical condition.

mental / neurological.  no mental disorders have been officially diagnosed by a doctor but holy hell does she have them. seulki shows signs of depression and paranoia. she is still processing the trauma of being turned, having to commit murders for the ’ greater good ’, and being mauled at her time of death. she’s not in a good place mentally but damn does she hide it well.

sleep.  nightmares can and do plague her more often than not; she likely does not get more than a few hours of rest a day. as a result, her under eyes look bruised.

dietary.  varies in nutrition. can go weeks without eating flesh but will force herself to indulge to prevent her sanity from slipping completely. mostly consists of roadside bodies and the elderly on their deathbeds. will accidentally go on rampages when feral.

exercise.  seulki exercises an almost outrageous amount. unfortunately, it’s the only form of control that she knows.

this man is either rolling in bank or breaking the bank, there is literally no in between. he swears he doesn’t have a gambling problem and can stop whenever he wants to. the issue is he chooses not to. he’s competitive and if someone beats him at his own craft, he won’t stop until he gets his lick back. but hey! at least he’s never in debt. 

caleb actually prefers the nickname CJ but only because he had a terrible relationship with his mother who later revealed he was named after the man she left his father for when he was a kid. does he have rampant mommy issues? probably. but he dares not touch that subject. with that being said, he grew up with his dad and little sister, casey, and they are both his entire world. 

even though cj is the most irresponsible person in the world when it comes to managing his money, he knows quite a lot about its functions and its importance. he was a business major in college after all. we’re just not going to mention how many times he dropped out and how he was way off the bellcurve for his graduating class. but hey again! at least he finished and he’s putting that knowledge to use when he invests his money. on gambling.

mizuno landed a job as a technical writer at google tokyo fresh out of college. some of her coworkers think its because she’s a suck up and others defend her and say its because she earned it through hard work while in college. both are interesting takes on her job acquisition but far from the truth. the reality is that her uncle works as a senior executive and was able to pull some strings for her.

given the origins of how she landed her job, there is a self imposed pressure on mizuno to become the company’s work ethic. she is the star employee. she is never late even though she sleeps late at night and presents herself as prim and proper. in the office, everyone thinks she’s a responsible young woman who lives and breathes work.

except, sike! she’s not a workaholic. mizuno actually hates work. if it were up to her, she would stream for a living. she always carries around her switch and even cosplays on the weekends. but this is super lowkey! she’ll die a thousand deaths if someone from the office ever found out she talks the most vile shit to ten year olds after getting sweaty at a game. as such, she’s never available after work for the same reason.

He couldn’t recall the last time he drank this much, his body feeling this hot and his mind being this fuzzy. The night had become a blur. He barely even remembered what had led him to this point, though he knew whatever it was had him fuming with anger at the start of the night. Drunk and stumbling, he made his way through the dark alley in hopes of finding a direction that looked even remotely familiar. Which way was his house again?

—NO MATTER HOW GOOD OF A SKATER HE WAS, he couldn’t guarantee no one would break a bone under his instruction. isaac could still hear the massive screech some random ten year old kid let out when he tried his hand at a kickflip (and failed). it wasn’t the sting of embarrassment in front of an ‘idol’ that had the kid screaming, but rather the dislocated ankle that dangled awkwardly, his missing sneaker found halfway across the park. it was a shit show and all he got out of that experience was the severe need to carry around liability waivers in his wallet for the next time someone tried to hop on his board. that way it wouldn’t be considered his fault and he wouldn’t have an angry mother chomping down his ass for being irresponsible. 

with a heavy sigh and a quick shake of his head, isaac carried on with his not so merry day, skateboard tucked underneath his armpit as he walked down the street with some drunk a couple of feet ahead of him. he was trying to mind his business until he wasn’t anymore. the poor guy looked real out of it and isaac’s little consciousness had done enough damage for the day for him to not say something. maybe it was time to rack up on some good karma points. “oooooi, dude, you good??” the male asked loudly, his hand waving wildly in the air in an attempt to capture the other’s attention. “that alley smells like hot garbage and dog piss. you live there or something? no judgement, just wanna make sure you’re ok.”

more often than not, insoo’s work carries him right through sunsets. sometimes sunrises, too. he doesn’t pay much attention to the clock, really, finding that time only adds more unnecessary pressure to the tasks at hand. but he also finds himself upset when he steps outside to find the sky dark, the sun already having tiptoed back to the other side of the world for the night. 

so he’s made a point to watch the sunset tonight, hoping it’ll turn his world upright again.

“it’s a little sad, isn’t it?” he notes in return, eyes still glued to where the last traces of candlelight cling to the horizon. “a whole day of sun, and its goodbyes always feel rushed.” his shoulders shrug where he sits on the curb, one hand pressing to the ground behind him so he could comfortably lean his weight back a little. “do you come out here often? to watch?” his gaze shifts to his neighbor only then, a small smile finding his lips. “or did we just catch each other by coincidence?”

—KEIRA FOUND SHE DIDN’T LIKE BEING ALONE. when she was born, she was latched onto the breastbones of countless women with faces and names she could never recollect. even if she had a hand to hold, though wayward and unfixed, there was never a time where she didn’t feel alone. the older she got, the sooner she realized loneliness was a ghost that stitched itself onto her skin, like a second layer she could never take off. she inherited very little from her mother other than sapphires for eyes and generational pearls too tight around her throat, but it was apparent that the ghost she carried was a part of that woman as well. 

eventually, she learned how to cope with the feeling. she hid it in the creases of sheets when in the company of others and she ignored it in the multifaceted glow of of the sky. on nights like tonight, when the sun faded away, she wished she could do the same as well. “it really is.” keira sighed, gleeful yet glum that something so radiant could be a herald for sadness as well. “it doesn’t help that saying goodbye to beautiful things is bittersweet.” as the other moved back, the brunette moved forward, slender arms wrapping around her legs as she often did as a child. “if time permits it.” she provides, rosy cheeks flush against the sturdiness of her knees.

“nature is really humbling, though. it reminds me of how small we all are in the grand scheme of things- of how small i am.” a smile is evident in her voice before she lets out a short laugh. “i don’t know. but if nature orchestrated a coincidence between us, then who am i to deny it?” she wills herself to look at him once more. it was not the same passing gaze that she gave to half of the world, but rather a proper one that allowed her digest the details of his visage. only then did she hope this kindred spirit would not join the cacophony of nameless ones from her past. “hi.” she whispers. “its nice to meet you. my name is keira.”
