That isn’t to say Red had seen the stranger standing before him at any point throughout his life. Like. At all. But he certainly seemed to bear resemblance to someone else he knew.
Not that he had figured that out.

Red blinked a few times. Just a second ago people had been preparing for Valentines Day and other things within the month of February... But now it was Late March? He had no recollection of anything that happened to him over the past month.
However, at least he could still spot a familiar face!
“Vaati! Oh, Vaati! Hey over here!” he quickly dashed over to the other, waving. “Hey it’s me! It’s Red! Hey do you know what happened to me? I’m sort of at a loss.”

So far, learning the ropes at Pandora Cafe was fairly easy. It was around lunchtime now, so more people were starting to come in. He made a point to greet everyone.
“Hello! Welcome to Pandora Cafe!”

As Red was new working at the cafe, his first day was training, following the other employees around and learning how things worked.
So he was understandably surprised when another Link walked in. Just how many of them were there?
“You look just like me! Hi!” Was it unprofessional? Absolutely. He got excited, that’s all.

It was usually Gooigi who had trouble entering and exiting the cafe, but it seemed that that same difficulty had now befallen an unfortunate customer, too.
Trotting hesitantly over to the door, Gooigi offered the stranger an apologetic wave through the glass. If he could have simply opened the way for the new arrival, he would have, but the best Gooigi could manage was an awkward shove at the pane. Straightening back up left a faint, damp outline of his form. Someone would probably have to clean that off later.
Hopefully his failed attempt at pushing the door open would at least demonstrate the direction in which it was supposed to swing, though. …assuming that the newcomer was solid enough to make use of that information.
While he initially didn’t get it, the door did move slightly.
“Wait- Oh!” And he pulled the door open. “I see now. I was going the wrong way... What a bad first impression on my part.” Red gave Gooigi an awkward smile. “Thank you... Um... Do you work here?” Being new, maybe he’d just met his first new friend at this job!

He found himself grateful for his knowledge about Vio at the moment, those bits and pieces he’d gained from Shadow’s memory. Of course… this one seemed too honest and stupid to be like the far more cunning purple hero, but he had no reason to trust him regardless.
Not even the satisfaction of earning the other Links’ hate would be worth the pain of putting up with this idiot.
“Whether or not we’ll ever leave this place hardly matters. People are selfish, and entirely self-serving. You’re no different, no matter how much you try to whine and complain to the contrary.”
It would seem that Red pointedly chose to ignore everything the other said, save for ‘whether or not we’ll leave this place hardly matters.’ and his response then proved that.
“You’re absolutely right! It doesn’t matter! We can be friends if we wind up going back to Hyrule too!” It was perfect, in his mind. If they became friends, then he could convince Vaati not to do bad things, right?
Or, he supposed, even if he did, Red would likely be excused from getting involved. That may have been a selfish way to look at it, but who was going to judge him? Vaati? Shadow? Vio? They were all selfish in their own ways! Everyone was!
Good news from Susie, @sanguinetm! She has a stack of business cards to hand to him, with the intention they’ll be distributed to other members of Spirale.
“Your cards came in the mail, Mr. Link! Thank you again for your continued service.” Even if he struggled with knowing which way to open up a door.

He takes them excitedly. He’ll pass them out to everyone he knows, and then some! After all, he wasn’t afraid to go door to door with cookies, this was a lot easier than that.

It was a bit of a walk for Red to get to his new job- Pandora Cafe, in the Archimedes Ward. But by some unforseen miracle, he actually managed to arrive on-time for his shift.
Actually, twenty minutes early.
But it was a chance to get to know people, at the very least!
But then... Red was still new, and... In all honesty seemed to be a bit ditzy.
Who’s going to tell him that the door he’s pushing on is a pull door?
Red is up bright and early for his first day at his new job!
He’s very excited.
