A crab!!

I made up this saltflats crab for a discord prompt. They grow salt crystals on their shells for camouflage, and have scoop shaped pinchers to skim algae and insect larvae from shallow brine pools. A crab species that adapts to live on vast evaporated ocean plains. Speculative biology(?)
